Hotel Liñares — Hotel in Poio

This small hotel has a unique charm for independent travellers to Galicia. It is near Pontevedra and close to Cambarro marina. We were visiting friends to sail with them on the Rias. The main road to Cambarro from the airports is excellent with light traffic. The hotel is situated up a side road which is very twisty and narrow. A good map or sat nav is essential. It is only 600 meters from the main road but well hidden. The hotel is run by a Spanish family who are lovely. The hotel is newish with a beautiful, small, clean pool in a beautiful small garden. It is immaculate. The rooms are middling to small but views from the front are expansive. The breakfast is simple but adequate. ( no full Ulster fry)! Room rates were good value, booked online. I booked for two couples and when our friends found out, two more couples joined us. Everyone was very satisfied with their stay. Lots of good restaurants in Cambarro meant we left the car and took taxis into town each night, 8 euro for the four people. There are clean white sand beaches not far way. This is a small family run hotel with a lovely pool and a magnificent view. It is accesible||mainly by car or taxi or by walking 600 odd metres up a windy road from the bus stop on the main road.||If you want to spend a relaxing holiday in a home from home, this is the place to be.||The proprietor is most welcoming and obliging. We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights.(There were 3 of us) It was very clean and the room was spacious. It is right outside Pontevedra and has a great view of the water. The owners were extremely friendly. The free breakfast was delicious, it even included jamon. They gave us advice on where to travel and gifted us with wine made from grapes growing right outside the hotel. They even folded our clothes when they cleaned the room in the morning.
