Alberg Núria Xanascat — Hotel in Queralbs

Nice, decently cheap place on top of the mountain. Food (if you go for full pension) a bit "limited". Taking my review down a bit. This place most likely gave me 2 and a half weeks of crazy diarrhea. Test result said "Campylobacter Jejuni Jejuni" which usually comes from poorly washed vegetables, and since I spent better parts of the weekend eating mainly iceberg lettuce and tomatoes... Well - do the math. The place was ok, but next time I'll probably bring a loaf of bread and a couple of cans of tuna just to be on...

The hostal is well run and is great for families, groups of walkers, couples and individuals. In the summer there are loads of activities for adults and children alike. Food is simple but delicious and varied, bust most importantly, you never leave the canteen hungry! Access is via the cable car (Telecabina) or on foot up the vehicle track from the sanctuary in the valley.The ONLY means of transport to the valley itself is via the rack railway (Cremallera). We went on Easter break, the snow wasn't much but enough to excite children, we built an igloo, slid on a sledge, built a snow man.

Totally fell in love to this hostel, the location is strategic, easy access to scenic hiking trails, ski slopes, the view is magnificent.

The breakfast and dinner were basic but it definitely has the best value for money...
