Casa Migdia — Hotel in Sant Jordi Desvalls

Marie and Sebastian have made a wonderful job of restoring this old stone house. Their attention to detail, use of period features with colourful furnishings has created the most delightful atmosphere. They are both excellent cooks and the smell of good homemade food adds to the charm. We were in two interconnecting double rooms for ourselves and our two girls 14 and 16. This is their family home where they live with their young children. ||||The rooms are all in their original layout, a good size, with original tiled floors in many of the bedrooms. Each has a large luxurious bathroom; lovely old cast iron baths, large basins and large showers, some tiled with locally handmade clay tiles while some are finished with a Moroccan style plaster. ||||A small outside courtyard with a pool is the setting for breakfast and evening meals.||||Marie and Sebastian know all the good local restaurants and the good beaches. We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for families and couples looking for a lovely old place to stay. We would certainly go back again.||||Tim, Serena, Ellie...

We stayed for 2 nights at casa migdia at the end of a weeks trip to Barcelona, and found it a wonderful place to relax after the hustle and bustle of the city. Marie and Sebastian were great hosts, and made us feel totally at home. Breakfast and dinner were good and inventive - it was lovely to have some fresh and healthy meals prepared with vegetables picked from their own garden, and there was also a great wine list. Marie and Sebastian were extremely happy to make recommendations for places to visit, such as the great beaches nearby - something we didn't expect to be doing in October! And were also very accommodating letting us stay an additional 3 hours on our final day when the power went out and we couldn't take a shower before setting off for the airport! |We came to casa migdia having booked to visit nearby El Cellar de Can Roca in Girona on the last night of our trip however the place totally exceeded our expectations - a beautifully restored house, wonderful decor, gorgeous countryside - we can't...

Incredible stay! Céline and Arnoud were lovely hosts that went above and beyond. The minute we arrived both greeted us with open arms. You can tell they put a lot of love and thought into the hotel…details from beautiful paintings to small decor to board games to a fire place…everything felt like a dream.

We stayed for 4 nights in Room Carmen and it was even more beautiful in person. Breakfast every morning was delicious and by the second day Céline already knew what Carlos and I wanted. Little but sweet things like that continued during our stay ❤️. Céline also gave us personal recommendations and wrote them on a little note (we visited all of them!). She also gave us a list of recommended restaurants in the area for our last night. Last but not least, we also had dinner by the fireplace at the hotel and Arnoud’s food was delicious!!
