Can Alemany | Hotel - Apartaments — Hotel in Santa Margarida de Montbui

We stayed four nights with our teen and four-month old. The pictures really don’t do this place justice. We come to Igualada every summer for the Ultramagic balloon event, and after five minutes in our apartment (L’Arc), we went to reserve it for next year. The flat was brand new, self-contained, spotless and appointed with an eclectic mix of modern and traditional decor and fixtures. Our flat had high ceilings, hundred(s) of years old original stone and architectural woodwork, and lots of small comforts. The air conditioning was key, the beds were sublime and the staff were super helpful in setting up the flat for a baby and providing us with a gourmet food starter package for the kitchen. L’Arc opens out to a massive outdoor grill and lounge area plus a perfect green lawn. The pool area is equally relaxing, with plenty of big chaises under a large cover. There is a dining room on the ground floor where a selection of good coffees and breakfast treats are offered in the morning and where a brilliant selection of beer, wines, cava and local gourmet snacks are offered in the evening. Our bedroom windows looked out on the hotel’s vineyard and the hills, where la tossa de Montbui sits high above. The room was completely soundproof and perfect for afternoon naps. The vibe here is what we really enjoyed—you can’t help but feel relaxed wherever you are on the property. It feels worlds away despite being five minutes from the edge...

I was lucky enough to stay here for 14 days for work, a great alternative to a hotel.|Upon arrival I found the hotel clean, decorated beautifully and with a warm welcome. My apartment balcony over looked the immaculate lawn swimming pool which was a great way to start the day with a cup of tea watching the sunset over the little town below. The Apartment itself was clean, tidy and very spacious with everything you would need for your stay. The outside seating areas was great for relaxing in, there is a BBQ area with lots of seating, all BBQ coals etc was supplied by the hotel too which was a bonus. |Breakfast was supplied in the large dining area, this was basic but all fresh with tea, coffee, bread and pastries along with cereals.|All the time I was there the place was always quiet, friendly and relaxed, great for families or just couples getting away. Barcelona and the Airport was only 35 minutes or so away along with some great countryside for walking or cycling. Overall this is a hidden jem, well...

We had a wonderful stay at Can Alemany and were completely satisfied with the services provided. If you are looking for a small and tranquil hotel away from the tourist crowds, this is the place for you. Because of its location, everything here is a little quieter and more relaxed.

The entire complex makes a well-kept impression and our room/apartment was also very clean and equipped with everything we needed.

Shopping opportunities (e.g., in Igualada), tourist destinations (e.g., Barcelona or the monastery of Montserrat), and beaches are all easily accessible by car.

We would like to highlight the extremely friendly and helpful service provided by the staff. They were happy to help with excursion tips and reservations. Many thanks also for the first aid after my little accident ;-)
