You will need a good sat-nav for this place but its worth it. I found the hotel on the internet while researching some place to stop off on our way back from Torrevieja to Santander for the Brittany ferry back to Portsmouth. It is about 40 miles north of Madrid.||We arrived on a sunday afternoon to find the makeshift carpark full which was a big surprise to us given the distance from the main road where the hotel is located.||When we found parking and got out of the car we saw a lot of people and children sitting outside having meals while others were sat inside watching the football and some of the kids were running about on the grass playing football. We could only summize that these people were from Madrid and had come to this mountain retreat for the weekend which later proved to be right.||The owner and probably other members of his family were busy serving food, coming and going out of the kitchen but he saw us coming in and took us to the reception area to check-in. This took 2 minutes before he grabbed our bags and wisked us up the big staircase to a lovely big room full of oak furniture cupboards and draws. Wooden beamed ceiling and a big bathroom that had a massage jet shower. I could be here all day describing the mountain view from the window and the home cooked Partridge marinated in white wine sauce that my wife had for dinner or my Entrecot steak cooked in a glaced sea salt that i had but trust me, go and find this Hotel if you are ever 40 miles north of Madrid, you wont regret it. Our well behaved Border Terrier was made to feel at home as well and came into the dinning room while we and himself enjoyed " OUR" meals....
