My wife and I stayed here in May for 4 nights and I need to state at the outset that the husband/wife owners ( Mateo and Montserrat ) are among the nicest, warmest, most helpful proprietors of any Bed and Breakfast that we have stayed at in 18 years of vacations in Europe. It's a cliche to say that we were "treated like family", but that's the feeling we came away with.|| The room itself had a balcony with a nice view and a very comfortable bed. There were large commons rooms and I was able to use a refrigerator made available to guests. Breakfasts were big and quite varied. Fresh orange juice, eggs made to order, yogurt, classic Catalan tomato bread, coffee, home made cake, excellent olive oil, cheese and cold meats. You get the idea. One morning I think I counted 11 different items. We had dinner there one night and the food was yummy. Here's an example of how accommodating they are: There was a young couple from Finland staying there who both had problems with gluten. Montserrat cooked a complete gluten free dinner for them.|| Their English is very good and they have lots of ideas of places to go. Lots of private parking on the grounds right next to the building and since it's just outside Santa Susanna, it's in a calm and peaceful location. Quiet at night and birdsong in the morning. Having said that, it's worth noting that it's also right near the big N-11 road which gives quick access to day trips ( we had a rental car ).|| Since our vacation was based on traveling by car throughout the countryside, we didn't go into Barcelona but the train to the city is easy access to/from Can Rosich.||We wish Mateo and Montserrat the best. They are dear people and the kind of hosts who make a...
Read moreCan Rosich is a wonderful place to stay; we absolutely enjoyed each of our 4 nights there. Staying in a farmhouse that dates from 1777's was also very special for us.||||From the friendly greeting and Estrella beers on arrival to a very genuine thank you from them on our departure, nothing is too much trouble for the owners.||||The rooms are functional, clean and comfortable. We were quite pleased that the room did not have a TV..it isnt needed, and there is one in the communal room adjacent together with tea and coffee making facilities if required. The free Wifi worked well. The weather was nice for all 3 days we were there, and we ate dinner in the garden outside..very pleasant.||||I had emailed Can Rosich a few days before our arrival and asked if we could have dinner the first night of our arrival; we are glad we did as the highlight for us was the food..both dinner and breakfast was all homecooked and absolutely delicious. Eggs from the farm and tomatoes and salad from the garden..the food was amazing both in quality and quantity. Also a great range of local wine at reasonable prices.||||We highly recommend Can Rosich; unfortunately it's a long way from New Zealand but if and when we return we would most certainly stay...
Read moreIt is pretty much dependent on what are you expecting from your stay;
This place is simple and fit for purpose, very clean, very spacious, nice and simple people around working for your comfort. Simple as this. This family is running this place for long years (if i am not wrong since 1962) and all things here are still as naive as they were in 60s.
A supernice lady, at the age of 78 still all day in the kitchen. All the texture and smell of her food and her positive energy fulfills the space. Ask -and try to convince her if she not too tired- for preparing dinners and eat her amazing simple food. Not designed for instagram looks but for you. All prepared with the ingredients from her garden or bartered with other farmers (they have plenty of chicken, pigs etc)
Location is nice, you can ride your bike to Santa Susanna beach, walk to the town but for long stays i would suggest to have a car.
This place is kid friendly, has a huge garden and access to...
