It is a 3 star hotel, and it should be consider as non luxury. It is ok for a 3 star, but has some small things that could be fixed to work better. The hotel has really nice surroundings, even it would have been better more focus to the river. The service is fine, some people are nicer than others. The room is small, as well as the bathroom, but clean. The pillow were a bit uncomfortable for us and we had no other option. We found strange to have a small fridge in the middle of the room, it only makes noise and has no mini bar service, so we find it useless. It was also strange to have a really small TV. The food is ok, like if you would prepare it at home, so nothing special. Many dishes to choose, but the same things all days. I would have prefer 2 or 3 starters and 2 or 3 main dishes to be chosen and a new menu everyday. For the breakfast there is only coffee and toast. Maybe too little variety. We were only 2 days in half board so it was ok. The Spa it is just 2 swimming pools, one outdoors and one indoors, so maybe it is not a Spa, but it was good enough. The hotel is cheap, so you get...
Read moreWhilst this hotel does not seem to have a review as an eatery, at this time of year finding places to eat in the park, particularly in this part is not easy. Stumbled upon this after a couple of false starts to other places which were firmly shut. Yes, it is a bit of a building site presently but has a lovely location on the river and is convenient for access both from la sierra de segura and Yeste.||||For a quiet weekday the restaurant which served a menu del dia had regular custom, and the 3 course lunch for euros 12, which included a yummy tomato and pimento appetiser, wine, coffee and liqueurs was freshly prepared and enjoyable. The service was excellent, and the lady who served us could not have been kinder. Although our eating Spanish is passable the local variations had us flummoxed and she did her best to explain.||||I note it gets mixed reviews for accommodation, but would be prepared to give it a go based on the service and the communal areas...
Read moreWaited a while to write this, didn't want to be unfair ... the area is stunning, night skies will never be forgotten, the hotel itself is fine, nicely decorated, but could be so much better! In the summer, with the outdoor pool I imagine it's fantastic, but we felt using the word "spa" wasn't justified, as the only facility was a jacuzzi, which was expensive - to be paid for separately, and a small indoor swimming pool. But our main problem was the food, which really wasn't anything special - okay, only 12 euros, but I'd much rather pay more if necessary, and get better quality. Luckily we walked the following day 3km up the road and found a really great restaurant for lunch. The room was large and clean, people were okay, but a bit surly - just had the overall impression that if a little bit more interest was put into it, it could be something really special. Not a huge problem for us, but mobile didn't work here, and wi-fi only worked in the...
