I am a well travelled person. I have stayed in 5 star hotels in many parts of the world as well as in many youth hostels and I have to say that the Posada Santa Ana is unique. ||It was only a 3 night stay for a wedding but I felt I have been away for a week.||On arrival I was greeted by the lovely Alejandra and young lady with a beautiful smile and very professional. Despite the fact that it was 73 of us (we occupied the whole building) check in went smoothly.||Then, our beautiful room. Quaint and cosy. It was like a room in your grandmas house but with a modern twist! Tastefully decorated immaculately clean and with all the essentials required. ||All the staff, Fernando, the lady from the Dominican Republic, the other lady that nothing was too much trouble for were amazing!||The service was excellent but the food.....have never tasted and probably will never taste mussels and octopuss cooked like that again.||The Posada is well located for lovely beach walks and a nice walk to town. ||I could go on and on but I think you got the gist!!||A very well done to Patricia (the owner) and her wonderful staff for making my best friend's wedding so memorable. You deserve all the success you get....

The staff were welcoming with an adequate grasp of English/French. The hotel is spotless and has a very charming character with asymmetric rustic furniture/decor throughout that unbelievably blends so well together.Bedrooms/bathrooms are comfortably adequate but definitely not high-tech. WiFi is free and a good speed. The restaurant offers a limited selection of superb meals in the evenings (you would not want to eat elsewhere after sampling it), and breakfast has a fine and unlimited cold food selection, and a great help yourself coffee/late machine. You can buy great value wines with your meals but beer/lager was not available. The hotel is in a quiet location and is dog friendly for small breeds. Well situated if waiting for ferry crossings (25 min drive)I would 100% recommend the hotel as good value for money, extremely charming with food to die for, and would definitely book again if the...
Read moreWe stayed for two nights as a stop over before catching our ferry home.||The hotel is easy to find with the sat nav and was also signposted from several points on the road.||We were welcomed in English and simply told where our rooms were and the meal arrangements||The rooms are small but adequate. Quite original in decor' and very clean. The beds were firm with good pillows.||We enjoyed excellent value meals from the daily menu. 3 course meals with a choice 3 dishes for starter and main. Fairly simple but great quality on the whole. ||Breakfast was fairly limited for choice but the food was fresh and plenty of it.||Our only criticism are the wooden floors, it was a bit noisy when the people in the room above were moving about.||There is a small swimming pool which looked clean.||The car park facilities were good. A small but enclosed car park off the road.||Santander was ready to access about 30 mins away.||The staff were brilliant. Iva and George, and our Russian waitress who I apologise for not being able to spell her name, were...
