Its a small, quite basic, roadside hotel/bar at the edge of a village in a beautiful area. Loads of great places to see, beautiful scenery, excellent location.|But be aware no-one speaks English. We had a lovely stay and were greeted with warmth and kindness but it would have been a lot easier for spanish speakers. |Plus points... the aircon was good, essential in August..and the little pool was gteat. There is quite a lot of unkempt grounds which made having dog with us so much easier, he could trot around freely off the lead, no problem. At night you can eat in the garden under an olive tree..also great cos dog comes too!|It was real local Spain!..dont think they get many UK guests.|Wifi was free and good. Beer was cheap.|Minus.. the Spanish eat very late..sunday the restaurant didnt open til 10! And im not sure the food wss that good...kinda ok-just. There was no bath in room as stated on my booking. (Not that we cared))and the shower was a bit basic. Otherwise room was ok..beds comfortable . We had a back room, probably a bit quieter than front ones over the bar. |They very rarely swept up! Having breakfast on the terrace outside the bar we sat amidst dropped fag-ends and wrappers and debris. I found a broom...no-'one minded. (But our room was clean)|All in all, the friendliness and the ease of having dog here outweighed the hiccups, plus it was pretty cheap so we would stay again if passing.. preferably in spring.|The young barman Daniel tried his utmost to help his strange English guests and was a delight. After all.... our lack of spanish was our...
Read more(NB: this place is not in Gran Canaria, whatever Tripadvisor says, it's in Extremadura).||A good place to stop with access to Plasencia, La Vera, the Sierra de Gredos south side and the Jerte valley en route to Ávila. Clean, comfortable room, a most friendly and helpful owner, you can book supper but only after about 9:30PM, though raciones are possible earlier. Very quiet when I was there late September (I think I was the only guest), bar and dining room are below accommodation so not sure how that would be in mid-summer. Very good...
