El Priorato de Trespaderne — Hotel in Trespaderne

On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Dora, who showed us where to park our motorcycles, also giving us a tour of the quirky, beautifully restored 16c Priory. From the attractively furnished communal room to the terrace, garden, and swimming pool with a fabulous view of the mountains, all were a delight. With 1 night booked, we decided to stay another. This meant changing rooms, but no problem, as it gave us the chance to experience 2 different rooms. Room No.1 even has a part glass floor. Both were clean and the beds were super comfortable. The area, Merindades, is stunning with plenty of activities and attractions. A visit to the small city of Frias is a must. For us, the icing on the cake was Dora, warm, friendly, helpful, and also providing us a tasty breakfast....

You feel like you are staying in a family home in this stunning conversion of an old priory. It has featured in architectural magazines. We stayed two nights before returning to the ferry from our main holiday destination. The whole building is stunning, the communal areas are beautifully decorated and relaxed, the rooms the same as well as having very large comfy beds. The staff are friendly and helpful and gave us recommendations on places to visit. The area is full of history and an impressive natural setting. The pool and pretty terrace were wonderful to cool down in, at the end of the day. It is worth coming to this little explored part of Spain just to stay in this...

Un lugar encantador. Una casona antigua, rehabilitada con muy buen gusto, aparcamiento para coches, piscina, terraza común y un comedor común en el que dan un buen desayuno. No hay restaurante para comidas o cenas. Nosotros viajábamos en bici y había un sitio para que se quedaran seguras. Está ubicado bastante céntrico en el pueblo, cerca de un supermercado, algo alejado de los restaurantes. El registro es bastante peculiar pero eficaz: Hay una persona que se encarga de gestionar el hotel pero nosotros no la vimos hasta el desayuno. Un par de días antes de la entrada te manda un mensaje de Whatsapp con un vídeo, en el vídeo te indica por qué puerta tienes que entrar, cómo abrir un armario en el que hay varias cajitas, que se abren con combinación de números y dentro está la llave de tu habitación. El código de números te lo manda por Whatsapp y haces la entrada. Esto es una ventaja cuando no sabes a qué hora vas a llegar de pedalear. Nos recomendó también por Whatsapp un restaurante, al que fuimos a cenar, cerca había otro restaurante. Por la mañana estaba la chica encargada preparando un gran desayuno tipo buffet: Bien surtido, productos de calidad, cada habitación en una mesa con mantel.
