Posada La Torre — Hotel in Val de San Vicente

This is an old house or building that has been turned into a B&B. It is lovely, clean, and charming. The surrounding country is peaceful and idyllic. It is part of a very small town. There is plenty of parking. It is a lovely place to take a walk.||||Our room was a bit small but adequate. The bathroom was fine. The common room downstairs was very nice. The proprietors do not speak much English.||||For dinner we went to a very close by terrazzo where we found a fun country atmosphere. No one spoke English but we got by fine.||||My only complaint is the breakfast. It was very Spartan, not even ham or cheese. Nothing but some pre-wrapped bread. A lovely warm welcome after a 25km walk... shower beautiful and staff kindly allowed us to practice our Spanish.... this hotel was luxury beds comfortable... breakfast included in the price was extremely disappointed... sugary orange and one slice of toast and biscuits. I requested additional toast as I do not like biscuits for breakfast....I wonder why not offer a piece of fresh fruit and local cheese for breakfast or else reduce price of accommodation and do not offer...

Hemos pasado 4 noches en dos habitaciones separadas. La limpieza es maravillosa, el lugar muy acogedor para desconectar...vistas excelentes, solo naturaleza, casucas típicas y vacas por doquier. Frio en verano, así que ideal para descansar y punto estratégico para visitar tanto Cantabria como Asturias. |Un consejo: la salida de Pesúes es complicada y peligrosa con una pendiente de vértigo que no cogen dos coches y no hay ni quitamiedos...es preferible ir a Serdio por la salida de San Vicente de la Barquera.|Habitaciones de dos camas sin televisión pero si hay wifi, fundamental para los peques y un entorno donde correr y saltar libremente y ser observados desde tu balcón.|Un salón muy acogedor y común para ver la tele en planta baja.|Los dueños muy correctos y amables. Marta ha sido la encargada de dirigir nuestra estancia.|¿Algún "pero"?...el olor del interior del amario de una habitación un poco fuerte para mi olfato, nos imaginamos que era porque no tenía el ambientador que sí tenía el de la otra habitación; se lo comentamos a Marta y lo solucionó y sobre el desayuno, esperábamos algo más rural y propio de la tierra, pero bueno, era sencillo y aceptable...y cuando quisimos repetir tostada (no somos muy de bollería industrial) no hubo problema.||Muy recomendable si lo que buscas es limpieza, sencillez, vistas, silencio y...
