Spent a week in Casa do Morcego with friends for a first discovery of Galicia.||The stay was excellent. The B&B is located in a renovated village house with a large garden which is well kept with a stream. It has a small swimming pool and nice outside seating areas. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated with plenty of cupboard space. The bathroom in my room was great. Everything was spotless.||There are no TVs in the rooms, but there is one located in the common area of the house. Wifi service easily accessible from the rooms as well as the outdoor terrace.||The breakfast is great, with a wide selection of homemade jams, as well as freshly homemade cakes and pastries, which varied every day.||The owners are very friendly, offering advice on sites and beaches in the area, as well as helpful in suggesting and booking restaurants.||All in all, this is a great place to stay in the Galician countryside with loads to visit in the area and excellent beaches nearby. I would definitely stay here again on...
Read moreThis is a wonderful B&B, run by two very friendly owners Antonia & Jose. There are 5 rooms for rent, each with it's own modern bathroom. All rooms are well decorated in a country home style. The amazing feature of this B&B is the property, a beautiful garden, pool, and a creek at the back of the yard. There are 2 resident dogs, which make for nice company. Breakfast is simple but good, with fresh squeezed orange juice, rustic bread, and good jams and marmalades. Internet is available or you can watch TV is the small, but cozy living room. We were a group of 10 people in the house and were well accommodated. Antonia is a great cook. We arranged a Spanish dinner at the house for our group and our other friends to total 20. Antonia cooked us an amazing meal (18 euro each with wine), with special dishes for the kids and the few vegetarians in the group. This place offers a very comfortable and peaceful vacation home. It is probably one of the best...
Read moreThere are many great bed and breakfast or rural houses to stay in, but none even come close to casa do morcego (bat house). The reason is because when you come in Jose and Antonia from the start treat you as if you are family. We spent such a great time talking with them every night and the food was better than the best restaurant we went to. Great mussels, slow cooked pork, barnacles (a local delicacy) and lots of great wine. Their hospitality and amazing service made this part of the trip everyone's favorite. The beds were very comfortable and the scenery was beautiful. If your looking for top notch hospitality, amazing homemade local Galician seafood, and above and beyond showers, then this...
