Hotel La Ribera — Hotel in Vall de Cardós

Very pleasant small hotel on the outskirts, but within walking distance, of Sort. Our room was not ensuite but did have a private toilet and shower associated with it in a shower block area. The grounds and surroundings are picturesque and there is a nice outdoor pool.||Staff were very friendly and polite and the breakfast was good. ||They were able to book horse riding for us on on of the days.||Although the room did not have AC, it was quite cool, even though outside temperatures were 38 degrees ||We stayed in a family room and the price was very reasonable.||There is wifi but it was pretty...

SO WELCOMING - Mother and Son, so helpful. Stayed 2 nights while exploring the area. We arrived late due to our time miscalculation - however both were waiting up for us (almost 10pm) with a big smile and hearty welcome. They were not upset for our inconvenience, and more worried that nothing had happened to us. Genuinely caring. Rooms lovely and clean - decorated with pine and lovely sloped roof windows. July 30, 2025 I went to visit the Butterfly Museum in Ribera de Cardós (Lleida) with my wife. A very positive experience. An exhibition of the world of insects and butterflies in particular that I recommend to everyone. The entomologist who gave us the talk throughout the entire exhibition (Ms. Maria Teresa, I think I remember) was very interesting and enjoyable. Excellent. The next day we went up to the Pleta del Prat, in Tavascan, and I really enjoyed seeing lots of butterflies (mirallets, apollo, blanquetes, red copper,...
