Ella hillsite view — Hotel in Sri Lanka

We had a lovely stay at Ella Hillsite View. Our room, with two comfortable double beds, was well-equipped with a fridge, kettle, and mugs. Although the door had a small gap at the top, the mosquito nets over the beds kept us well-protected. The bathroom was spacious with a large shower, warm water, and provided soap and towels.

The host was incredibly helpful, offering plenty of tips and suggestions. Breakfast was a daily delight—delicious, varied, and beautifully presented. We also enjoyed dinner at the accommodation twice, which was tasty and well-priced. We ordered our food just a few hours' before dinner time.

Laundry service was efficient, affordable, and ready the next day.

While the accommodation is close to the center, be prepared for a steep hill and numerous stairs to reach your room. Thankfully, the host generously offered his tuk-tuk to help with our luggage. Overall, a...

The room was good except this is literally just a room and a communal outdoor dining area, all located along a set of very steep and dangerous stairs (sharp jaggard rocks used to build the bottom part of the steps which I found just quite a dumb idea). The room was clean but was a hike to get up to. There was a pile of rubbish in front of the room, I assume belonging to the neighbor. There is really no “hill side view” as such, just a bunch of trees. The room was not serviced even once in the three nights I stayed there.

Breakfast was okay, just toast and eggs and fruit.

They also hold you ransom to pay for extra nights even when you provide 24 hours notice to cancel.

The rooms was great and big with beautiful view. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good too. Anything was clean. Above all the service was perfect!! They took care of us all the time and for anything, even when we went out of the hotel. We had a problem in the shower and they moved us room and fixed it. The breakfast is good too (see picture). They asked us what we want to eat and when we want the breakfast of the next day. A little thing- the hotel is on top of a hill so it might be a little hard to go up by foot. But a tuk tuk can take you up easily and the hotel can help you order a driver.
