Ella Relax Inn — Hotel in Sri Lanka

I'm sorry, but I can't give a full five-star rating. The accommodation was not very clean; we found animal droppings in some areas. At night, we were disturbed by an animal running around in the attic. The bed sheets had dirty stains, and the house had a musty smell due to its age. Upon arrival, the host was chasing a cockroach out of the kitchen. In our rooms, only one out of four electrical outlets worked, and even the mosquito net had an unpleasant odor. The place is next to a road, and passing cars frequently woke us up.

It was also difficult to arrange transportation to this location. Tuk-tuk drivers either didn't know the place or charged high fees. Uber was hard to find and sometimes not available at all.

The host was kind, and his mother was lovely, gifting us bananas when we left. It really saddens me that I can't give a full rating, but I hope this review helps them address these issues and attract more satisfied guests...

This house was our home for a week and served us very well. The bedrooms are large each equipped with an adjoining bathroom with hot water. The house is large and in addition to the bedrooms includes A comfy living room and well equipped kitchen. The place is very clean and has a spacious private garden. The location is quiet yet very close to the main strip and attractions. Amila our host was very helpful. He was very knowledgable and willing to help by booking transport and attractions. It was the best experience for us in quite a while and we have been traveling in SriLanka for over a month.
