Read moreStaying here is not just a hotel night – it’s a full survival course in the jungle. While other places might leave you a chocolate on your pillow, here they leave you existential questions.
Before check-in, the manager kindly warned us: “some animals might be seen or heard.” I thought that meant the occasional gecko… not finding a shed snakeskin right at my door, like a jungle-themed welcome mat. Luckily, the snake itself wasn’t inside… or maybe it was just polite enough to stay hidden.
Nights felt like a mix between National Geographic and an Indiana Jones movie: insects singing, branches cracking, and—most shocking of all—listening to a couple of squirrels being possibly swallowed alive by the snake up in the palm-leaf roof. That was my lullaby: part wild, part macabre.

This in itself is very understandable, so we asked for an alternative. They offered a very mediocre replacement for slightly less than the price of the original room. We asked for a discount, either on the room or the safari to compensate, and they offered a 5USD discount. There were two issues with this:
We cannot comment on the rooms, but just know that if something were to happen, staff/ service will most likely be unhelpful and downright disrespectful. You are better off spending your hard won...
