This place has two lovely little bungalows in the Sigiriya village surrounded by a jungle. ||On arrival we were greeted by Sajith's parents who spoke little English, but were delightful. They checked us in and as a welcome gesture brought over fresh coconut water. ||This was our 3rd accommodation ( B&B) in Sri Lanka and the one that I was worried the most about because of the jungle and the insect. The irony is that this place was the cleanest we have stayed in so far. Don't get me wrong, you will get bugs in your room, but nothing that mosquito net won't sort out ( supplied on request).||Couple hours after our arrival Sajith's mum arranged a tuk-tuk so we could climb Pidurangala and see the beautiful sunset. On our way back the tuk-tuk driver dropped us off in the local restaurant for dinner. Couple hours later Sajith was waiting at the restaurant to give us lift home. We did not expect that at all! Apparently it is not safe to walk home at night because of the wild elephants. Frightening , but exciting at the same time. ||First night was a little bit scary for me ( I know, I know such a girl), my other half slept like a log until I woke him up because civit jumped on the roof and I panicked. After I calmed down I fell asleep.||Breakfast was great. Too much choice and too much food. Proper coffee! OMG we had Nescaffe coffee with milk and honestly after all the rubbish coffee we had in other places this tasted like Costa or Starbucks. Afterwards we headed off to Polonnaruwa very happy and very full.||It is a lovely little place run by a great...

Sajith is so kind and lovely. He helped us with booking a tuk tuk so we could see Polonnaruwa, organised our Elephant safari and even woke up at 4:45am to take us in his own vehicle to Pidurangala Rock for sunrise. We were even invited to play a game of cricket with him and his friend, which I enjoyed so much.
We had dinner at the Grand Freedom and Sajith mother is an amazing cook. It was some of the best food we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far.
The room was perfect. Clean, spacious, nice shower with not hot water issues. Some have noted that there’s no air conditioning but that really wasn’t a problem as the room was always nice and cool so it really isn’t necessary. We enjoyed sitting at our patio watching the wild life in the jungle.
I can’t really say a bad thing about this place and enjoyed everything about it. Sajith and his family are so nice and welcoming to their guests that it really made Sigiriya one of our favourite places to be on...
