ILLUMINATION STAY — Hotel in Sri Lanka

We stopped here during our long motorcycle trip and honestly, it was a great little break. The place is pretty new and super well maintained, with a big, green yard that’s perfect for relaxing after a long ride. Our room was super spacious and even had a small setup with an electric kettle so we could make a tea or coffee—nice little touch!

The lady who runs the place is really sweet, speaks good English, and helped us out a lot. The place is a bit out of the way, but really peaceful, and as long as you follow your GPS, it’s easy to find. Plus, the owners can arrange a pick up from the bus station or airport.

This accommodation is simply amazing. It’s located in a quiet area, about 30 minutes from the airport, making it a perfect spot to relax before or after a flight. The rooms are modern, super clean, and equipped with air conditioning. One small but important detail we loved was the bathroom—it has a proper shower curtain, so you don’t end up soaking the whole bathroom when you shower! Everything, from the shower to the decor, feels brand new and well-maintained.

On top of that, the owners were incredibly helpful. They went out of their way to assist us, even when we had issues with our tuk-tuk. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay....

We loved this place and hosts. We would definitely recommend to anyone and stay there again. Rooms are nicely decorated, clean and spacious, big comfy bed, air-conditioning. Area is safe and quiet, you can easily get to the beach by tuk tuk for 200-250 Rs. Hosts helped us organise trips, answered all our questions and were beyond helpful. Nothing was a problem to them.
