Kithaya Ella — Hotel in Sri Lanka

My stay at Kithaya Ella hotel in Ella was truly exceptional. The mesmerizing scenery that unfolded before my eyes left me in awe. The option to pre-order authentic Sri Lankan traditional foods was a delightful touch, allowing me to savor the rich flavors of the region.

First visit to Ella , and somehow managed to find this hotel/ resort Spent 14000LKR/ MYR 169 for 2nights. The place is below average but still doable. It’s just a little deeper on the inside from the town and rest of the surroundings, walking is not advised.. a tuk tuk or car is suitable for all excess.

As we checked in, there was still renovation going on … so we somehow dint get enough sleep in the afternoon( we just reached Ella, was super exhausted and hoped for a good after nap sadly that dint happen.) The care taker Manoj was very reliable and prompt. He accommodated all our requests and was really kind and sweet. If you are planning for a stay here, look for Manoj.

It’s near Kithal Train station which is just 2mins walk. There is cooking classes available all around , id suggest to give a try. It was interesting.

Extremely disappointed stay. There was no hot water available and no one was bothered about it. When inquired they just told that it is broken.In the morning there was no water avail able at least for the essential basic needs. The rooms were not prepared even after calling them in the morning before the check in. The bed linen had stains and had to ask them to change it.The wash room was not cleaned and had to ask them to clean it before using. No toiletries were available. The view is not beautiful.No responsible staff person to discuss the issues with. The guy was there behaved like it is none of my business.It is in the foot of a mountain and a very restricted view. The road is also a big steep. I went there because of the good reviews, but now really confused whether it is the hotel mentioned in those reviews. Not recommended at all. Should improve a lot more.. utterly...
