Larn's Villa — Hotel in Sri Lanka

I cannot recommend this place. We stayed 4 nights. The swimming pool was nice en clean and the beach is close by but not clean. The room was too small and very old. Need a upgrade. During our stay they didn't clean our room. The hot water didn't work properly. No fridge in the room. There is no handle on the outside to the balcony door. And airconditioning is very old. They have english breakfast only. Dinner portions are very SMALL and not much choice. Only fried rice and few dishes. Sadly no local food being served. The host was not polite. As we had to check out very early to be in the airport we couldn't have breakfast and ask him not to charge for the breakfast and he was not happy about it and demanded us of we could go and stay elsewhere on the last night. 😊: For the last night stay in Sri Lanka we have decided to stay somewhere beside the sea, so we booked in Larn's Villa Hotel & Apartment. We been greeted by lovely owners. The rooms were very clean and spacious. They also have a swimming pool, which was great on a hot day 😄 We have chosen to have dinner in the property and ordered fish dishes which was very tasty and done by owners wife. 😘 In the morning we had a lovely breakfast too. We wish to thank the owners for their fantastic hospitality. After long conversation it was a time to leave and we all fell that we are leaving behind our family. Lara's villa is a small guest house owned and run by locals with great staff a pet rabbit called kiri and chipmunks running through the gardens. The rooms are clean with good quality a/c. The food is authentic Sri Lankan with international choices too. Located less than 5 minutes from the amazing Wadduwa beach with the Indian Ocean crashing onto golden sands. Wadduwa train station is a 20 min walk and you can get to Colombo easily and then onto most parts of the island. Within walking distance there are many restaurants serving fresh fish and seafood.
