Monara Arana Farm resort — Hotel in Sri Lanka

Don't go there!! We stayed there for only one night and left after waking up. To be honest, we didn't sleep much because the room is not mosquito proof. There is a net for the bed. However, this is for a one-room bed, so if there are two of you lying under it, you constantly touch the net and the mosquitoes bite through. It's a horror next to rice fields. The room was dirty, you couldn't walk without shoes because there was always dirt on your feet. After the night we had a lot of bedbug bites. Don't trust the other reviews, we heard from others that the owner writes fake reviews. There is no other explanation for the good reviews. We paid 23€. 2€ would have been reasonable! Stay away...

I loved this place.Monara Arana Farm is a beautiful accomodation just outside Anuradhapura easy to reach by tuk tuk. Gayan, his wife and his partners are great hosts friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable and the Sri Lankan breakfast was rich and tasty. We participate to the cooking experience and we had fun preparing traditional Sri Lankan foood. The Place is good destination for family. There are some rooms, cabanas and domes, Rooms and Cabanas fit for family and dome is suitable for group. Place is very good for nature lovers, because resort located in a farm, there you can visit vegetable field, paddy field, some Ayurveda plants etc. And they serve you their own fresh crop.
