Mount View Cottage — Hotel in Sri Lanka

If you're looking for an affordable place with a great view, then this is for you, especially if you're a local looking for a nice, relaxing vacation. I was wavering at first to go there, but after I went and saw it for myself I completely changed my mind. Rooms are great and has many amenities, a tv for each room, an electric kettle and 2 of mugs, glasses each , a jug. Beds are clean and each room has a lot of space. Bathroom is spacious, shower area is enclosed, free towels and soap are given. Only downside is water is not that much hot. View from there is the best. You can see the whole area from there, because it's located at a top of a peak. Food wasn't provided, but they do deliver food if you want from the Royal Guest Inn located down the same road. We had booked this place and deposited advance as well.we had called the owner of this hotel(a lady) before check in and informed that we will be coming now.once we checked we were disappointed .there’s no hot water in washroom .when we asked she said there is a boiler in up and it will take time to get it hot.there’s no proper preparation of them before guests come.she was blaming other staff members for the faults and we were fully dissatisfied.also there were no any water bottles, kettle , soap .if we want hot water for drinking we have to go downstairs which was like a tunnel .no any arrangements and make it’s comfortable for guests.so we had checked out as there’s no any facilities.only beds were there.she didn’t refund our advance as well.she was very cunning .i do not recommend this place for anyone.very bad facilities and...

Location was good but the rooms and cottage under renovation they didnt inform us..inside of our room lots of rats ..the rats bite my jacket also..when i inform to the lady she blame to first owner and others this cottage under renovation..my problem is why they didnt inform ...and their are lot of rats ..and rain water coming inside the room..disappointed We booked the room for 3 day but for one day only the hot shower works..food we have to oder from outside...slide windows are broken we cannot close...
