A perfectly blissful mountain paradise! I really love this place! The spotlessly clean rooms are exceptionally nice with good facilities (TV, electrical sockets, sofa, hanging rails for clothes, small tables, kettle, cups and glasses). The bed is really comfortable with nice bedding and pillows and a cosy duvet. The views are stunning - of tea fields from the shared outside balcony and inside sitting area and of mountains from the room's private balcony. The home-cooked food is plentiful and really is some of the best I've had anywhere in Sri Lanka (and I've lived here for over 5 years)! The location is perfect. It's just a very short tuktuk ride from the town centre, a short walk to Adisham bungalow, a 25-30 minute walk to the nearest tea factory and the hosts can arrange transport to any sights not within walking distance. You can also walk in the tea fields immediately outside the guesthouse. The host, Shan, and his lovely wife, Piyumu, go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Shan is super-helpful and will assist with transport if he can, as well as providing everything you need whilst you are there. This was not my first stay, and I will always...

The views from the room is simply breathtaking. Surrounded by lush greenery and panoramic views that stretch for miles, it’s the perfect setting for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. The crisp mountain air adds to the enchanting atmosphere. We visited in February, and the weather was fabulous.
The accommodation was cozy and well-appointed, with the room featuring a balcony where one can enjoy the morning tea while soaking in the stunning views. The common area is clean and also has a iron/iron board.
Though food is not included in the stay, we had some fantastic Sri Lankan style food - string hoppers, dhal prepared in traditional for breakfast and rice and curry for dinner.
Shan also shared accurate information about the hiking trails and places to visit around, helping with the transportation. We surely will be planning another trip there!!
Wishing him and...
Read moreMountain Paradise Bliss Guesthouse in Haputale is an amazing place to stay! I honestly think that I never enjoyed such great views before. We had the corner room, with large windows on both sides and a balcony on one side, overlooking the mountains. Right under the guesthouse was a small settlement of local houses, and the guesthouse itself included a small temple with a huge Budda. A really authentic place to stay. Shan and his wife Piyumi are very professional hosts, taking their job more than seriously. They help out wherever they can and provide tasty local meals, among the best I´ve had during my stay in Sri Lanka. From the guesthouse it´s only a short walk to a part of the Pekoe trail, enjoying great views of the other side of the mountain. It´s a small gem in a generally...
