My Place Hikkaduwa — Hotel in Sri Lanka

I stayed here for 4 days during my last week to Sri Lanka.||Owner is a very decent and helpful guy who vent the extra mile to make our stay a memorable one and make is feel welcomed. The place was completely clean and good smelling with a hint of cinnamon. The interior is well chosen with bit of a classical look. Kitchen with everything you need, including a refrigerator. Even tough the main access road is bit far, the owner showed us a back road shortcut which gave 2min access to the famous Hikkaduwa coral beach. 5 min to Hikka bus station, 10 min to Train station. But not on a main road, so it's quite.||Owner even introduced us to scam less taxis, diving shops, souvenir shops and Ayurveda centers with really good service.||You will never find such decent place for such low price anywhere in the country.||We will definitely stay at this place on our next trip...

😊: It was a very good time we’ve spent in this place. The host helped us with everything, always been in touch. He gave us the room at the 2nd floor. There are 2 rooms on the floor, also there are a big hall and kitchen with a general fridge for stayers. In the room we had big closet, table with chair and bathroom. It’s all very clean. Near the hotel in 5 minutes there are some very tasty places like a Hungry Bug. Road to the beach used to take around 15 minutes.. 😢: There are trains which are coming in the night, so time to time it’s a bit loudly. There is no condition in the room, and it’s ok for this cost. 😊: Отличное место для семейного отдыха! Тихо, нет рядом шумных кафе и т.п. Территория зеленая, хоть и не большая. Хозяин отзывчивый, приятный человек. Удобно, что есть кухня, полностью оснащенная, можно попробовать готовить из местных продуктов - мы искали как раз такое жилье, пару раз приготовили рыбу и креветки. Хозяевам респект - раздельный сбор мусора, не ожидал увидеть это на Шри-Ланке. Причем мусор убирают каждый день, не дожидаясь заполнения баков или появления запахов. Номера расположены на втором этаже, удобный общий балкон - приятно посидеть утром с чашкой кофе, послушать пение птиц, понаблюдать за бурундуками. Также плюс второго этажа - меньше песка таскается, при входе есть душ и обмывка для ног. Санузел просторный, чистый. Вода только холодная ("летняя"), но она такая и нужна при этом климате. Номер так же чистый, полотенца свежие. Есть сушилки для вещей в номере, а так же в общем помещении. До пляжа 250 метров, до кафе Ред Лобстер (рекомендую!)- метров 400. До рыбного/овощного рынка - около километра. Расположение очень удобное, в номере тихо, ЖД дорога не напрягает, поезда хоть и громкие но ходят редко и днем. Если еще раз поедем на Шри-Ланку - думаю выберем это место для проживания.. 😢: В номере немного душновато, не помешал бы оконный вентилятор, с москитной сеткой, для ночного...
