If you want to spend some time away from all crowds in Ella, this is good choice! The view from terrace is simply incredible and the location is really calm. Only when it is raining, it can get quite noisy with the steel roof. You can get there using only one road, which is extremely steep with many up’s and down - but it’s manageable with rented tuktuk. The breakfast was really good, especially with the view again. You can also have lunch or a dinner here, which is fine, but the price is very high. You can drink filtered water here, but you will probably get also some bottles of water, which will be charger later without prior notice. There is a kitchen, which doesn’t seem good and is not well equipped. There should also be washing machine for use, but in the end there is only quite expensive laundry service. We got an eczema after wearing the washed clothes, maybe as it was not completely dry (it was during rainy days) or because of some washing powder used here. Just be careful if you have a...
Read moreWe travelled with two kids (8+12) and stayed for 3 nights in wonderful Ella, but could have easily stayed more if it wasn't for our schedule. It was a great and wonderful experience with Nature's Glow Home Stay. The location is simply breathtaking. Imagine you wake up in the morning, exit the room to the balcony and have breakfast with a beautiful view on the waterfall, across the balcony you see rainforest vegetation and trees with monkeys and birds, the stream below hidden in the plants etc. Although it's a bit hard to reach it by car because it's a very narrow road, a tuktuk works fine. We opted for dinner as well, very tasty and homemade and cheaper than restaurants. We simply liked everything about the apartment and room: affordable, very nice and helpful family, very good breakfast, clean, safe, good communication with the lady (owner). Ella and this stay was the peak of our beautiful Sri Lanka experience. Thank you...
Read moreWe LOVED our stay here. We stayed for 5 nights and had the most wonderful time. The family who run this home stay are beyond lovely and made delicious Sri Lankan breakfasts. They were very helpful and we appreciated the cake and biscuits with tea on arrival to the accommodation. The stay was so peaceful, we felt so relaxed all the time just from the view and the surroundings. It is only a 15/20 min walk into town, along the train track. The room even had a kettle and hairdryer in it. We thought that overall this stay was incredibly worth the money and would 100% come back!! P.s we befriended a sweet (most likely stray) dog who is an orangey coloured girl. We gave her water and crackers and mackerel and she would then sit outside our door and wait for us. We were very sad to leave her and hope if whoever stays next and sees her may give her a little cuddle or some water as she was...
