Neo Holiday Home — Hotel in Sri Lanka

I booked this hotel because of the free airport shuttle. However, this hotel was a bad choice because I didn't even had the chance to sleep here:||I made the reservation more than 24 hours before arrival included with my flight details. After a long flight I arrived at CMB airport and sent the hotel a text message to get a confirmation of my airport pick-up. However, there was no driver to pick me up. I called the hotel a couple times and the hotel guy on the phone told me that he was going to send a driver and that I had to wait a few more minutes. After a long time waiting, I called the hotel again to ask where my driver was. The hotel guy told me that there was no taxi available, so he couldn't help me with the transfer. |I arranged my own tuktuk to the hotel and when I arrived at the hotel I thought that I could finally sleep (it was 01:30 AM). Unfortunately that was not possible yet, because the hotel guy told me, after arriving at the hotel, that there were no rooms available due to some problems!||First of all, why was the room available on Booking.com? Why did I not get a response after my reservation that there were no rooms? Why did he not send a taxi or immediately told me that he couldn't arrange one so I didn't had to wait for almost one hour at the airport? Why did the guy not inform me that there were no rooms available when I was calling for the transport?||At the end he arranged a room at a hotel next door where I had to wait for half an hour before the...

This Hotel I will never give 5 star.The owner of this hotel had handed over the job to 2 very young boys.They are very inefficient. After we settled the payments out Hot water was shut off.we had to call every morning to connect the hot water.the day we were check out no water at all to take a shower.when we complain the boy ignored and went back to sleep.then when we complain the second time he said we are liying.so we took him to our room and asked to check.they disconnected the WiFi system.and say no GB.it will be connected in 30 minutes and that will never be connected. The owners mother walk around the hotel with a long gown and said we are the only people who complain.forgetting how an Australian guest complained right in front of us for not giving him everything the room that was promised and paid for.also he had ordered BF before us and it was not ready.then they served him the BF my husband ordered.That Australia. A quite new, small hotel near the airport. Was quite cheaply priced, with breakfast $US5 extra. We were picked up from the airport late at night without any dramas, quickly checked into our room so we could go to sleep. Good traditional English fry up for breakfast each morning. Hotel was clean and quiet, down a side street off a main road. It is only a 50 meter walk for the nearest railway station called Liyanagemulla, making it convenient to get into Colombo. The trip cost 20 cents each, one way for a 1 hour journey. Hotels in Colombo are very expensive so staying out of the city centre and using the train was an economical choice for us. Nothing negative about our stay here. When it was time to check out, two male hotel employees helped us carry our bags to Liyanagemulla railway station for our trip to Colombo Fort Station. It is a good choice for a transit hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend and would stay ourselves again...
