New Radiant Hostal -Hiriketiya — Hotel in Sri Lanka

Worst treatment ever received in a hotel in Sri Lanka. The staff talked to us very badly since we arrived. They overbooked their hotel and tried to kick us out because we didn't come through a booking reservation; ended up sending us in a dorm (which they were supposed to keep only for us); dorm's bathroom was dirty (they hadn't bothered cleaning it); they gave us a discount for the disturbance but we found out later that the breakfast wasn't included anymore (so not a discount at all); they gave us all of the dorms key copies, then blamed us for carrying all of the keys... We laughed about it because what else can you do but...

Beautiful accommodation in an excellent location! The hosts gave me a wonderful welcome – they are very kind, pleasant, and always willing to help with anything. Truly impressive! Breakfast is great, with something different prepared every day – delicious and beautifully made! The location is perfect, with all the beaches within a 10-minute walk and restaurants just 5 minutes away. Highly recommended! For the price you pay, you get much more than expected. Excellent new restaurant in Hiriketiya. It’s run by a lovely family that make exceptional ‘home style’ meals

We had rice and curry and roti, that was very very delicious. One of the tastiest we have had in fact and would highly recommend.

The service is really good and they are very attentive - they made our 3 year old an omelette straight away to keep her entertained whilst we waited for our rice and curry.
