We spent one night in pearl inn green. We had easy access to pigeon island and the Nilaveli beach from the hotel. It was overall clean but provides minimum amenities. We have a few concerns on our stay as mentioned below. || ||1. The early check-in time was 12.00 pm and we reached their by 12.30 pm. We had to wait another half an hour until they prepared the rooms. || ||2. The concrete slab on the floor at the entrance gate had a rough and an abrupt slope. It can damage a vehicle with low ground clearance. We had this experience and it actually scratched our vehicle. || ||3. They have installed AC units in Cabanas, but they are not still working.|| || 4. Sufficient number of pillows were not provided in the rooms. Eight people had to share six pillows. ||||5. We wanted to leave the hotel early morning and we informed that to the owner in the previous night while settling the bill. We requested a heater to make some tea as we leave. The owner promised to provide one but we never received it.|| ||6. In the morning when we were getting ready, the water supply stopped in the double bed room apartment. There was no one to inform it and the owner was not responsive to the phone. We had to use our bottled water to wash our faces and leave the hotel. We understand that 4 am might be too early to answer the phone but a follow up call later would have been nice. As a summary, if you expect someone’s help in the early morning they are not available and and they are not responsible for providing amenities upon request.|| ||Overall, this is a very beautiful place as you can see in the photos. The person managing the place (Mr Ajith) was extremely rude, both to us as locals and to other foreign tourists we saw there. On top of that, he repeatedly intruded on our personal space, making the stay very uncomfortable. He was always coming around and boasting about himeself which was very disturbing.|The promised food was a complete letdown. We were supposed to get a fried whole fish per person, but instead, they gave us just a few small pieces of dried fish to share among everyone. The rice was insufficient, and the potato curry didn’t even have any potatoes in it! But he has charged 1100 per person.|The worst part was when we were about to pay. Despite booking directly with the place, he tried to scam us by asking for an additional 5,000 rupees, claiming it was a fee for booking.com.|The facilities were also a major disappointment. There were no electric kettles, no soap, no towels, and not even proper bed sheets. On top of that, the bathroom lock was broken, Shower and other taps water speed was very low and there were holes in the walls which made it very uncomfortable and not safe to stay.|The only positive is that the location is within walking distance to Nilaveli Beach.
