Petter's Beach Inn — Hotel in Sri Lanka

Could not fault this place. The rooms are spacious, cool with both air conditioning and a fan, comfortable and the breakfast which is included is extremely filling. |The guest house is right on the beach and is within walking distance to the town. |They have two dogs and a cat who are so friendly. |The family are so welcoming. We have made friends for life. They are so friendly and we chatted to them for hours on a daily basis and will continue to keep in touch for the rest of our lives. |Regarding the noise complaint from previous reviews, the television is in the restaurant but they have it on silent and you have to take into account this is the families home. They will do anything you ask and if you ask them to turn off the television they would do in a heartbeat. |We ate dinner on two occasions here and did not feel as though they were pestering us to buy more they just tried their upmost to keep us satisfied. |After 4 months travelling this is by far the best place we have stayed. This is a charming little hotel in a beautiful area of Kautara North, just a stone's throw from the beach. There's no traffic noise other than the occasional neighborhood car. Rooms are small but adequate. Dog-lovers rejoice, there's a beautiful, massive, and friendly German-shepherd-ish dog here who loves attention when he's not too lazy.||||Despite the relaxing location, there's lots of noise here, mainly from the staff. The restaurant here isn't exactly pleasant... they try to pressure you to buy more and all but reject small orders. As you eat, you listen to the sound of their television (which is in the middle of the restaurant) rather than the waves...

I am totally in love with this place and with Sri Lanka overall. Petter’s Beach Inn is indeed amazing and quite place, ideal for those who would like to experience tranquility, sun, ocean and amazingly tasty Sri Lanka cuisine on a budget. This was our second trip to Sri Lanka and only here we got the real understanding of this amazing island and its culture.
