Poya Villa Ahangama by SunSessions — Hotel in Sri Lanka

We recently stay at Poya Villa, from the moment we arrived when Rasika the caretaker, ushered us to our beautiful pre-chilled room overlooking the beautiful Kabalana beach … we were in heaven. Flanked by some very expensive hotels, Poya offers a million dollar view without the million dollar price. Our room and ensuite were spacious and well appointed and the property is well maintained by the owners. Breakfast of fresh fruit and toast was delightful, presented whenever we returned from our morning surf.

The pogola overlooking the beach became our base through the day providing endless entertainment watching the beginner surfers and their spectacular crashes. The chlorine free pool was enjoyable to relax in and the many sun loungers also provided opportunities for great sunset vistas.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Poya Villa, on the quiet end of the Kabalana beach. If you are wishing to avoid the loud, busy, selfie instagramers at the northern end of the beach then we highly recommend Poya Villa.

Poya Villa was an absolute dream! The spacious and comfortable rooms, along with the stunning property and serene surroundings, created a luxurious yet cozy ambiance.
