Wow, what a place. From being greeted every time I entered or came downstairs but the most friendly and well trained team, to the unparalleled views of the ocean from nearly everywhere on the property, this place is a gem. Even better, it’s run by good people who aren’t out to scam you and you truly feel taken care of.
The cook for you a delightful breakfast - choose the Sri Lankan one if you enjoy flavor and some light spice with impossibly fresh fruit.
You tell them your dinner order daily because they literally shop for the fresh seafood daily, I had the most amazing chili crab, Sri Lankan Curry Chicken and some really nice Prawns.
The pool is a welcome feature as the beach isn’t really swimmable, it’s a big drop down and some pretty aggressive waves - and I say that as a confident swimmer. Normally that would really bother me but in this case staying on what felt like a windswept deserted coastline with only some local fishermen around made it well worth it.
The rooms are nicely appointed and have everything that you need. There are ants as many have said but it’s the tropics and if you’ve travelled you realize that the trade off for a beautiful location as this is just that. Don’t let it worry you, they don’t bite and there aren’t like a crazy amount.
Love love loved my time here and hope to be back. Book this before it gets in some travel guidebook as...
Read moreEverything was just amazing! My partner and I were the only guests for 4 days. We got the half-board package which included breakfast and dinner. We are vegan and the chef accommodated us very easily -- and the food was amazing! The room view is stunning. The shower is really good. The bed is super comfortable. We barely stayed in the room because staying by the pool was much better. ||Since we were the only guests, we could take the wifi/modem with us to the room at night and then back again to the pool area. So we had absolutely no problem with internet connection like others reported here. ||The place is quiet and isolated. Good restaurants are about 15-30min drive with a tuk tuk, which the hotel will arrange for you whenever you want -- visit Let's Sea if you have the chance; it's in Tangalle.||As someone mentioned, the only type of alcoholic beverages they have is beer -- and you have to ask them a bit in advance so they put in the freezer or else it will be warm beer for you! So we brought our own alcoholic beverages (like wine) and it was fine to have it in the...

This place is beautiful, remote, charming and the service is impeccable. Fareese and NiLanka in particular looked after us incredibly well.|We booked last minute as we wanted to get out of the rainy jungle and into the sunny beachside! We hadn’t heard of Serendivi but found it via Agoda and were blown away on arrival - our very own secluded beach on the Indian Ocean! Only 6 guest rooms in the hotel so we felt like we had the place to ourselves! The staff cooked us meals as desired. Every room has WiFi and top-class bathroom facilities. We definitely recommend visiting the Serendivi Resort when in Sri Lanka and looking for a few quiet days...
