A Memorable Stay at Ocean Pearl Hotel, Negombo

During my vacation in Sri Lanka, I had the pleasure of staying at Ocean Pearl Hotel in Negombo. We arrived late in the evening, having booked a room for one night. From the moment we arrived, the hotel surpassed our expectations.

Accommodation & Amenities:

Our room comfortably accommodated four adults. It featured a queen-size bed and two single beds, all equipped with air conditioning to ensure a restful night’s sleep. The bathroom was pristine, offering hot water and a bidet. Additional amenities included a minibar, electric kettle, and a spacious balcony with seating, perfect for unwinding.

Facilities:

The hotel’s outdoor swimming pool was a highlight—immaculate and inviting. Guests can also enjoy a children’s pool, spa services, and a rooftop terrace with panoramic views. The beach is just across the road, accessible via a footpath, making it convenient for beachgoers.

Dining:

Breakfast offerings were diverse and satisfying, with options to suit various tastes. The on-site restaurant serves international cuisine, and guests have the option to dine al fresco on the terrace.

Service:

The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, providing assistance with tours and transportation. Their warm hospitality contributed significantly to the overall positive experience.

Location:

Situated in a tranquil area, the hotel offers a peaceful retreat while being close to local attractions. The beach’s proximity adds to its appeal for those seeking both relaxation and exploration.

Отель новый, всё везде чисто и аккуратно, персонал очень доброжелательный, помогли мне даже пройти онлайн регистрацию на самолёт и бесплатно распечатали посадочный талон. ||Но... Тех, кто ожидает отеля на побережье или хотя бы каких-нибудь видов на океан, могу разочаровать: отель расположен примерно в 200 метрах от побережья, на второй линии, причём у самой дороги, и даже не отгорожен от этой дороги никаким забором- выходишь из двери отеля и практически оказываешься уже на улице, причём движение по этой улице довольно интенсивное, постоянно гудят машины... Номер с некоторым видом на океан (вдали) у них всего один, он на втором этаже, и все окна этого номера выходят прямо на дорогу, в то время как остальные номера смотрят либо во внутренний двор, либо в частный сектор (вид на океан есть ещё из кафе на третьем этаже)- я изначально попросил дать мне номер с видом на океан, но они дали мне комнату с видом на какой-то заброшенный участок, пришлось совсем закрыть и зашторить окно и вообще не смотреть в него, но этот вариант был даже лучше, чем комната с видом на океан, потому что в той комнате скорее всего шум от машин был круглые сутки... Сам отель расположен довольно далеко от центра, почти на окраине города, но я специально выбирал именно этот отель и думал, что народу поменьше, пляжи почище, а оказалось, что до побережья нужно идти через хижины рыбаков, где тебе постоянно кричат "хэллоу!" и просят деньги, а сам берег довольно грязный, в некоторых местах лежат прямо котяхи- нужно идти метров 300-400 до какого-нибудь цивильного отеля на берегу и уже только...

I recently stayed at this hotel in Negombo and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms were clean and safe, providing a comfortable stay. The food was delicious.

Considering the affordable price, the service was truly value for money. The pool was also clean and provided a refreshing escape.
