Update: The owner, Jens, came to talk to us this morning. It was a mistake between the website and the booking system. He is going fix this right away. It is so nice to see an owner who actually cares about service and reads the reviews and reacts. It's clear that he cares about the service and wants the guests to be happy. He even refunded us for the visit. Thank you so much, you have a lovely and a beautiful campsite
It's not really clear who the tent pitches without electricity are for. If you just go straight to booking on the website it says that the camping pitches are 8 meters deep and 8 meters wide. 8x8m is usually plenty of space for my 3x4m family tent. So we booked the spot. We got spot 44c which is in no way 8x8 meters or is at least so oddly shaped that it's hard to use the space. Other spots in the row 44d-44g are also small and less oddly sized but are probably not a lot more than 3 meters deep as is 44c, I would not have guessed that they are really 8x8 m. 44a and 44b I could however believe are 8x8. But when you look at the website is says quite clearly that the tent spots without electricity are thought for mc/bikes and are therefore small. It would be nice if that was noted in the booking process. We would not have booked this campsite if had said so on the booking site.
The campsite is otherwise very lovely, the service houses are clean and the whole place looks very tidy. The staff in the reception are also nice and guided us where to park when there was no way possible for us to fit the tent and a small car in the camping spot.
This is probably a perfect place for caravans, motorhomes and campervans. It simply just isn't really for family tents without electricity.
The small tent spots are very beautifully located by the water even if they're between a gravel road...

Read moreGreat camping. We stayed here for 3 nights. The owner was very nice and helpfull. The sanitair building is renovated and always clean!! The view and sitting area by the lake are gorgeous. It is only 20 minutes to the north entrance Skuleskogen, that is the most calm place to start the hike. A lot of people use the camping for 1 night so there is a lot of movement in the afternoon and the morning, but we were in the back because we stayed more nights so that was nice. The only little thing I have is that it is nearby the highway and we sleep in a tent, so you hear the cars. But we were the only one with a tent so I guess most people...
