STF Blasinge Gard is connected to the Swedish tourist organization STF, which means that you get a discount if you are a member. The Vandrarhem (hostel) is located between Jonstorp and Svanshall. Both are within walking distance (about 1,5 km) and the Vandrarhem is not too far from many of the touristic spots in Kullabygden. I especially recommend the Nature preserve of Kullaberg, although you should expect it to be far more crowded than the typical Swedish nature preserve. ||||As for the Vandrarhem, the rooms are large and clean. We visited as a family (two adults and two small kids). Toilets and showers are located in the corridor outside the rooms, but there is at least three or four of them meaning that you normally find an unoccupied one. Breakfast is served at the second floor and consists of a fairly average amount of choices, cereal, musli, yogurt, different kinds of bread, cheese, ham and obviously coffee, tea and juice. They also have a large kitchen if you want to cook something. In the garden, there is a nice pavillon where you can eat or just sit and enjoy a drink in the evening. Please not that there is no resturant at the vandrarhem and that they do not serve drinks, so make sure to bring your own. There are some resturants in the villages close to the Vandrarhem. We visited a fish resturant in the harbour of Svanshall (within walking distance, about 1,5 km away) which was very good by any standards. All in all it was a nice stay, but do not expect hotel standards! The concept of Vandrarhem is intended to be affordable and you are expected to bring your own bed linen and clean your room before leaving (this can be arranged for...
Read moreWe had a room with two beds and a toilet, and stayed one night. Can't complain about any of it except for the beds being too soft for our liking, but that's just us; soft-bed types would have been thrilled. The hostel (vandrehjem) is located in the main building, and everything is very clean, neat, and in good condition. The grounds also house one small cabin, a very nice barn building for large events, and camping areas, both for tents and autocampers. The grounds are extremely well kept - the large front garden has rolling lawns, flower beds and fruit trees, as well as many groupings of tables with chairs, a very large bbq pit, a boule/petanque course, and a large windowed gazebo, probably for windy evenings in the garden, or outside dining in winter. We opted for breakfast, which was basic and very good, served on the second floor of the house. There is also a dining hall on the first floor, with an attached kitchen where the guests can prepare their own food. We were very happy with our stay, and would very likely come back again if we were staying...
