Kronocamping i Lidköping — Hotel in Lidköpings kommun

We stayed at the campsite in a 2 bedroom cabin, for 3 nights, whilst visiting family in Sweden.||The campsite is very well kept and in a lovely location, set by the lake where there are lots of outdoor activities.||Our cabin was spotlessly clean. We paid extra for linen / towels, as we were travelling from abroad and had limited luggage.|However we were only given a duvet cover and sheet for the sofa bed, and no duvet or pillow was provided.|Luckily my teenager is not fussy and was happy to make do for the few days we were there.||The staff were lovely and in particular the staff at the restaurant were very sweet, and we found the food to be good, as well as reasonably priced.||Unfortunately, I have given 3 stars instead of 4 as it became apparent on the last night there is an issue with a lack of onsite security of a night time on site.|The noise from the cabin next door to ours gradually got worse through the evening and at 1 am in the morning my young children (3 & 6) were woken by screaming / banging outside their bedroom window. I went outside to find out what was going on and there were a group of about 15 teenagers just running around the site, chasing each other, with no regard for anyone staying on the site.|I asked politely if they could be quiet, only to have the same thing happen again 10 mins later and I had to ask again that they move away from our cabin.|I totally understand the behaviour of kids on the site are down to the parents, but it did highlight that there was no security patrolling the site of an evening and making sure there wasn’t any anti social...

Amazing campsite with nice playgrounds, restaurant and ice kiosk however not the safest?

The toilet facilities could be more plenty full but mostly die to walking distance not due to queueing.

Only real downside is the price especially seeing that the campsite is open to the surroundings meaning people from outside use the facilities (watertaps on the camp spots, playgrounds etc.).

This gives a strange feeling especially if the site is not full. A bit similar to being parked in public park. People simply come and go as they please and use the campsite as a walkway. The feeling is both helped and not helped by the fact that the police also passthrough and during the weekend there was a security service patrolling....

So impressed with this campsite. My family stayed in a cabin which slept 4. My two sons shared a twin room, and my husband and I had the sofa bed which was huge and very comfortable. We had a small kitchen and bathroom with shower. Both very clean and well equipped for a short stay. ||||The campsite itself is huge, lots for kids to do including mini golf, biking, zip line, park, small beach etc etc. Only a short walk from a lovely shopping centre and an outdoor swimming pool.||||We had food from the restaurant twice - once sitting in and once take away. Food good and reasonably priced.||||Small shop selling sweets, basics, ice cream etc was open from early morning until late at night.||||Would like to go back...
