Quality Hotel was beautiful but disappointing in other ways. Considering the price and it being newly built I would have expected a more thought through experience and better customer service.
The main problem we had during our stay is that the room was very cold. The AC was broken: we couldn’t turn it off or turn on the heat no matter which settings we tried. I talked to the front desk our first night and we got to try another room but it had the same problem. The guy said he’d call for service in the morning. I asked for a comforter or a blanket and the guy told me I could go get it myself from an available room - he must have seen my surprised face and later brought it to our room himself instead. The second day I went back but he hadn’t called for service so the heating issue persisted. They compensated us with breakfast vouchers which was nice but I would have preferred the AC to be fixed.
Some other things take down my review is that the bathroom didn’t have any cotton pads etc which hotels usually always have. In the shower there’s one combined hair and body wash instead of body wash, shampoo and conditioner. And the bathroom floor doesn’t have any heating so it’s absolutely freezing. (EDIT: The hotel replied and said they do have heating but when I asked the guy at the front desk he said that the floor didn’t have heating). Also one big let down is that you have to pay to use the spa even if you’re staying at the hotel (!?). Also our room wasn’t cleaned and this was because at check in no one told us about a special sign we had to hang on the door and that we didn’t receive from the front desk. And it wasn’t possible to call the front desk, could have been just the phone in our room. Instead we tried calling the restaurant but they never picked up. The room also lacked a room service menu.
On the plus side we have the beautiful interior, great breakfast and restaurant and we were able to check in early. It’s also very quick and easy to get downtown with the bus even though it’s a bit in the outskirts of town. It would though have been great to know that the hotel has bikes your free to borrow, also something the front desk forgot to...
Read moreWhen we arrived at the hotel, a dirty smoking area was already laughing at us at the entrance. Spilled drinks next to overflowing smoking buckets. This in front of the entrance is not inviting. In addition, in the entire entrance area outside probably no one has really cleaned for a long time. It continued with overfilled trash cans right at the entrance inside. The garbage had already spread to the ground. But unfortunately this should not be the end. The stairs to the rooms have not been swept or wet cleaned for days. So was the hallway where the dust just happily smiles at you. The room was not much different. Apparently one has not heard of a wet cleaning. In the restaurant area and on the second floor were really all the tables full with marks from glasses. Apparently, no one has ever thought about hygienic cleaning. So even in a sensitive hygiene area like the sauna. Actually a pity, because the location and the hotel are well equipped. The breakfast, a delight, is unfortunately the only thing that is positive. The lack of hygiene in the entire hotel makes the stay unfortunately...
Read moreThe front desk was non-existent, there was no desire to help or make our stay pleasant. Every time we tried to get help we were told "I don't know what you want me to do" and they apologized. Hair in the towel. The shower didn't work burned us. Service fee of SEK 80 regardless of what you wanted delivered to the room, the first time ever. The receptionist thought we could book a more expensive hotel if we wanted room service (this is a 4 star hotel). The breakfast plates on the buffet were replaced with smaller plates. No mini bar or fridge, no toiletries. A very suspicious white spot on the bedspread. When we were about to check out, the receptionist refused to ask how our stay was, instead telling us how amazing the breakfast was and asking rhetorical questions about the breakfast and the spa. We were in contact with 4 different receptionists but the same thing applied to all of them, they don't seem to want to work there. The hotel wants you to serve yourself, it’s even written on...
