Eriksöre Camping — Hotel in Mörbylånga kommun

Really nice dog friendly camping towards the middle of öland. The staff were all friendly and very helpful in the reception store which also sells some essential items (milk, bread, newspapers) and products for dogs too. The amenities are free to use when staying on site, with free hot water and clean, tidy bathrooms and showers. We were told that there is even a dog trainer on site some days where they offer obedience and behaviour training free of charge. High speed, very reliable wifi costs 3USD for 24 hours and can be accessed by connecting your phone to the Telia Wifi hotspot available throughout the camping site. There are swimming spots for people only and another for dogs too, we swam at the dog beach as we have a pooch and the water was warm, clean and shallow, so you and your four legged friend can have a dip together. NOT a five-star campground by any measure. Very meager laundry facilities required three-day wait. So-called “sea view” site actually faced the rear of the restaurant. Garbage truck stopped in front of campsite and spilled maggot-infested garbage directly in front of our tent; no cleanup. Restaurant had multiple nights of extremely loud, off-key singers bellowing horrid covers for hours. Restaurant tables not clean; pizza substandard. Reception was staffed by teenagers who were friendly but had little practical knowledge or ability to assist with logistical questions. Women’s showers smelled consistently of urine.
