We spent the past week-end at this hotel/B&B, property of the Swedish Hunters Association, to celebrate the 95th anniversary of grandma. We had rented one of the buildings close to the castle, Sjöslaget, that besides three double rooms, features a kitchen equipped for 12, a dining room and a living room. There is a nearby restaurant on the premises, that is principally open for lunch only. As an evening meal you can however order a cold plate based on game products and buy beer, wine and alcohol of you choice. The environment is pleasant with the possibility to see in real life what the Swedes are hunting, like moose, deer, wild boar and different birds, all kept in captivity for the association’s teaching program. There are jogging trails of different length through the forest on the estate, that spans over 1200 hectares. The baroque castle was unfortunately closed. You can also rent ordinary hotel rooms or spend your night in a hostel for a very reasonable sum of money. Overall good value for money.

Wonderful, peaceful place where you can relax in silence while walking in the vast area around. There's a lake, a forest, a wildlife park, lots of green space. Total serenity. The air seems so pure, and it didn't bother me that it blew a lot. I just dresses according. Breakfast was of superb quality, even if the coffee was in a termos it actually tasted good. The same with game sausages or red deer ham. More traditional hams and cheese were on the menu, too. The rooms are OK in size, big shower room. There's no fridge in the room, however, downstairs there is a big common room and a fully equipped kitchen. There's also a sauna. Parking for electric cars are near the castle.and the reception, but not by the hotel. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants peace and tranquillity away from roads and the hustle & bustle.

When we where there, they had a Christmasfair. A lot of people showed and sold their products, like art, food, music and a lot of other skills. The place has a beautiful castle with an authentic decor and nice and comfortable restaurant. Also next to the castle there is a big barn where they have a big collection of stuffed animals. And another big restaurant with a great buffet. This is very nice to have lunch, after a walk through the surrounding forrest of the great Elks and dears. So come and visit this great place!
