Hotel Lapland — Hotel in Pajala kommun

My team and I were working in the area for over ten months in 2022. The hotel rooms were a bit small for working on the computer, but just fine for a vacation. The hotel was always very clean and the beds were comfortable. They put a lot of effort into providing good service and it shows.

The food was excellent, on par with anything you would find at a high end restaurant in the city. I especially enjoyed the chicken sandwich, which is one of the better meals I have had in my many trips world-wide. Don't stay here without trying it!

Micke, the owner, moved desks into the rooms for us and even opened up the dining room on the weekends so we would have a more comfortable place to work. He was close by but unobtrusive and I didn't realize at the time that he was staying there all day just to make sure we had fresh coffee and service when needed (the dining room is normally closed on Sunday afternoons).

They also provided breakfast, a very good sack lunch, and dinner every day with the cost of our rooms. This made staying there completely painless as everything was part of the cost of the room, which was very reasonable. They have a couple of apartments in the building as well, which we moved into after the first month on site. Same rates and meal service. Micke also provided us with cross country skis in the winter and a bicycle in the summer.

We just completed our Easter holidays in hotel Lapland river. The experience was truly fantastic.Special note: The extremely caring owners Mrs.Iva,her husband and son Daniel.They let us check in at 10 a.m while the original time is 1400 hrs.They even let us check out at 15.30 hours as we had train into d evening(without any extra cost) . Truly spacious apartment with two bedrooms, fully furnished kitchen,drawing room and small but useful toilet. View from our rooms where great too. Included breakfast at nearby hotel Smedjan was great with loads of food options.Only concern was the bed which was little small for us(we r tall and well built), though our sons slept well. Ligger mitt i Pajala. Nära till ICA, Coop, kommunhuset, busstation, Systembolag osv. Gratis parkeringen finns utanför hotellet. Helgkvällar kan de vara lite mer folk i pub/restaurangen, speciellt sommartid. Vissa dagar lågsäsong samt sena kvällar/söndagar så måste man meddela och får nyckel enligt instruktion. Hotellrummen ligger fördelat på 2 våningar. Det finns ett mindre kök på våning 1 där man kan tillaga enklare rätter eller värma i mikron. Porslin finns. Det finns en stor relax med bastu i källaren. Bastun ger bra värme/fukt vid bad. Slås på vissa tider vad jag förstår, annars kan man fråga vilket vi gjorde. Mycket trevligt! Rummen är något mindre än standard. Uppfräschade målade väggar med foto tapet som fondvägg, laminatgolv, fönster med tjocka gardiner för mörkläggning. Innanför dörren finns krokar för kläder, ett mindre skrivbord med stol, kylskåp (vilket är jättebra), 2 enkelsängar som står ihop, mindre fåtölj och platt-tv. Inget lyxhotell men rent, trevlig och helt okej för en mindre ort. Badrummet är litet, äldre med dusch. En mellanstor frukost ingår i rumspriset och serveras i den inglasade restaurangen.
