This place is fabulous. Paul and his family and staff are welcoming hosts at the farm/B&B/pub. Paul met us in person as we arrived and gave us all of the information that we needed for our stay. Given the coronavirus situation, Paul and the staff were working very hard to keep visitors safe and maintain distance. We stayed two nights (two parents, two kids). We were invited to feed and meet the alpaca shortly after our arrival and we were able to have another turn at it our first morning there. We also booked an alpaca promenade and enjoyed that during the afternoon of our full day there. The weather was warm while we were visiting and so the pool was a welcome feature, especially after walking in the forest with the alpaca. (Excellent blueberry picking in the forest.)
We stayed in the family room, which got a bit hot and stuffy in the warm weather, but Paul provided us with three fans to try to keep cool. It's very nice having the pub attached to the B&B. We were able to sit just outside our room after the kids were asleep and have a drink in the evening. They provide a good spread for breakfast, including adorable toasts cut into the shape of alpacas. Our kids were welcome to play in the treehouse and with other equipment set up in yard (swings, punching bag--lots of stuff!). Paul's kids were nice and played with our kids as well. We ate dinner in the pub/restaurant one night, and were very pleased to find vegetarian offerings on the menu. The halloumi burgers were great!
But of course the real draw is the proximity to and contact with the alpaca. We stayed in early August, when there are many babies. The babies were sweet to watch (though no touching or petting the babies, for everyone's sake). It was great to spend two nights there, as we felt like we got a little more time with the alpaca and learning about them and their different personalities. I would highly recommend this B&B for families, particularly for families with kids over the age of about 5 (old enough to be able to participate in the different activities and to be able listen to the instructions regarding which alpaca can be pet, etc.).
Our family definitely plans to return, though I would be tempted to book the apartment next time to have a little more space and the ability to cook a bit for ourselves for lunch and/or dinner. We peeked inside the apartment when passing, and the set up...

I spent a night at Norrangens Alpacka bed and & breakfast, and the only complaint I have is that I did not stay longer. Surrounded by lush green fields, big old trees and a variety of farm yard animals, this was a great escape from the hustle and bustle of normal city life.
I was greeted from my car by the lovely owner, Paul, and his friendly and enthusiastic staff, along with some smiling Alpacas of course. Great start!
After a few hours road trip, I opted for a big juicy organic burger washed down with a cold pint of IPA, all produced locally which only added to the taste.
Seeing as this farm is full of hens, peacocks, alpacas, lamas, and a wee family dog (forget his name), there was no excuse not to potter about the lovely surrounding and take some snaps in the mid summer evening.
Accommodation was top class throughout, super comfortable bed, bright and tastefully decorated rooms, and exceptionally clean bedrooms and bathrooms. There was even a little note under the bed, saying "we also clean here". I only noticed it when looking for my lost sock, but that was a first for me.
I was here to kick back and relax but if games are your thing, or you come with children, there was a pool table, table tennis and lots of entertainment. For me, I thoroughly enjoyed my morning swim in the heated outdoor pool, followed by a stint in the sauna and jacuzzi. All of which I could enjoy while taking in all the beautiful nature that enveloped me.
I suppose what sets this place apart from other B n B's, is what is says on the tin, it is an Alpaca B n B. Walking with these lovely creatures, feeding them, and just hanging with them was a special treat. Also, it is a family run business, and all the staff are from the local area, all of whom made me feel very welcome and could not do enough for me.The team here obviously pay close attention to every detail. The end result is that I was a really happy camper and I left wanting more. As it should be.
For my next visit I will stay a few nights! Tack guys, super job, and best of luck in the...
Read moreMe and my family where there yesterday (June 28), because it was what i want for my birthday, to meet alpacas.. the owner & host Paul was really nice and accommodating and so as his lady assistant (i’m sorry i forgot her name) she’s very lovely to speak with and very service oriented (we love her!). My brother does not speak swedish but they translate for him in english, and he’s very thankful and pleased with it. Kids were happy to meet, feed and take photos of alpacas, and so as us us adults. We also get to meet llamas! The fika was nice. They prepared juice, tea, and coffee, and their cinnammon rolls was very yummy! Both adults and kids loved them! Thank you to the lady for extra rolls for my kids and brother! The walk was not included in the package, but as for request, we get to walk with alpacas! And it made me so happy! Instructions was clear and easy to understand, and the alpacas we’ve got were very much behave! They are sooo cute! I love Alejandro the gray alpaca! He’s a sweetheart! They also gave us a tour of their place (we got lucky, we’re the last to there), they rent rooms and a glamping tent. They have a sauna and pool! This place is amazing if you want a calm vacation! Great for families and/or couples. We very much love it! We will definitely go back! Next time to stayover too! We love both the place, the alpacas, the people, and the service! Thank you so much for making my birthday an awesome day with the lovely experience there! Defenitely...
