This was a nice hotel, the decor and condition of the building was very good and clean looking. We chose a king room with a balcony, which is a slightly more expensive room. The room in general was very clean, the beds were super comfy and you had plenty of pillows. The big let down for us was the size of the room, it was tiny with barely enough room to walk around the bed, there was a very large TV on the wall at the end of the bed, which we felt was way to close to see comfortably. Also in the room was a small alcove with a wardrobe and a small chair, this was the only place to have your luggage, so the area was not really usable for much else. In my opinion this room would be much better served as a nice single. The balcony was a shared balcony with 4 other rooms, a nice space looking out over the restaurant and golf course. Each of the 4 rooms had their own outdoor furniture. The bathroom was standard with a walk in shower. No free toiletries and not really any space to place your own toiletries. This being said I did notice that the 4 rooms offered with balcony were of different sizes and I think we were just unlucky in getting the smallest of them, which was a shames as we were staying for 5 days. The breakfast was very good with a wide range of options, including vegetarian, gluten and lactose free. The relax area includes a small pool with an area at the end for bubbles and a pool bar complete with 3 barstools in the water, nice if your a party of people. Also a sauna and 2 showers. A reasonably good speaker for music (unsure whether it was Bluetooth) that connects automatically to radio (I think). The relax area is bookable at reception in 1 hour slots, the staff were pretty flexible though and happily let you stay longer if no one else had booked. The service was good, all staff members we encountered were professional and helpful. There is a large golf course, complete with training pits (if that's what they're called). Plenty of parking and WiFi, which is free for guests. Overall a very plesent stay and yes I would recommend this hotel, however be aware that some rooms are in my opinion too small...
Read moreWe (family of 4) recently spent a night at the Best Western Hedåsen. We stayed at this hotel for the simple reason that it fit out road-trip schedule and we were pleasantly surprised!||||The customer service was 5-star. The receptionist (who I suspect was the owner of the hotel) welcomed us and really treated us well.||||We booked a family room, which turned out to be a mini-suite! The room showed a few signs of wear and tear, but I didn't mind. I was happy that there was a separate bedroom for us parents and a living room with a coach-bed for the kids. (Usually a "Family room" in Sweden means a slightly larger than standard room with a pull-out bunk bed, so we were very happy with the mini-suite.||||Finally, the breakfast was excellent. I stay at a lot of hotels in Sweden and abroad (most of which I forget to review) both for business and pleasure and I can honestly say that this was one of the best breakfast spreads I've seen.||||I hope that I find a reason to pass by Sandviken again so that I can revisit...
Read moreWe found the hotel using Google Maps and the reviews were very positive. For three nights including an above-average breakfast we got an absolutely fair total price. We booked because of our dogs and an offer directly by email and by phone. We were able to park our truck free of charge directly at the hotel and when we had problems starting because of the cold and old batteries, we were immediately helped in a very friendly manner and coffee was also brought to the vehicle. That's service. The room was neat and clean and we were able to choose from two rooms in advance. The staff is very friendly and because the dinner on the first night tasted very good and the atmosphere was cozy, we ate at the hotel every night. We also used the free pool and sauna. We will definitely stay here again when we have business in Sandviken. Thanks for the opportunity to be able to stay overnight with dogs and trucks in such an...
