Beautiful park with animals that is like going through the best Swedish forest but combined with big enclosures for the animals. Some are easily spotted but some are close to impossible. But then again Nordens Ark has been working with endangered species for 30 years and this place is quite different from your normal zoo. So the animals wellbeing is put in front of our convenience.
Our kids are 2 and 3 y/o and even though they are so young they had a blast. There's some small activities all over the walk through the park so you're always close to a place to play or stop for a snack.
They have small trollies that you can hire for a small fee which is very convenient when you have got bags and small kids to drag around.
You can bring your own food and drink and there are designated areas where you can sit down and enjoy your picnic. They have a couple of small cafes with Swedish fika, hot dogs, ice cream and stuff like that.
Great place to go...

Parts of the park are not closed for renovation. They are expanding the park, trying to bring more animals.
The enclosures are not empty. The enclosures are huge and are made to mimic the animals' natural environment. So, animals may not be visible if you dont look around. Eg. Red Panda may be on top of a tree. Tigers may be sleeping behind a rock. Rodents may be inside their holes. If you want animals paraded for you, go to a circus or any zoos around the world that are animal prisons.
Diaper changing stations are at the main building but not at the portable toilets around the park.

The park itself is huge and located in a beautiful area. The grounds are very well-maintained and clean, making it pleasant to walk around. There are plenty of restrooms throughout the park and even a small café where you can take a break. The animals look healthy and well cared for, which is great to see — but unfortunately, there aren’t very many of them. For kids, there is also a small playground, which is a nice touch.
On the downside, the entrance fee feels overpriced, especially considering the limited number of animals and the overall impression.
My personal ratings: • Cleanliness and comfort — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ • Healthy and well-kept animals — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ • Number of animals — ⭐⭐⭐ • Emotional experience — ⭐⭐ • Price — ⭐⭐
Overall, it’s a place with a beautiful setting and good care for animals, but with a rather high price and not as exciting...
