Hemavans Wärdshus — Hotel in Storumans kommun

We stayed here in wintertime. The smal cabin was awful. Dirty, with old style interior. The beds where terrible and hard. We found old chewing gum and blood in them. The upper bed had no safety-bar, so if you would have fallen down, the next place would be the hospital. The stove for making dinner was very slow, and the chairs to the kitchen table almost fell apart. We have travelled alot, and càn`t remember when we experienced a breakfast like this. Overpriced and almost nothing to chose from. The best part, was when the staff did not use any gloves when placing food at the buffet. We have not stayed in the apartments though. We are there for LRF meeting and have dinner and stayed over for one night. The hotel feels cozy and the food is even over my high expectation. Most locally sourced ingredients, deliciously prepared and beautifully presented. I really liked the fresh blueberry juice served with the main course. The serving also is professional and very comfortable. After eating, we also really enjoyed sitting in front of the big old style fireplace. Both me and my husband slept really well. The room is old style but with totally new bathroom. The morning breakfast has many different things to select. Including many kinds of juice and milk. A gem with new owners, fantastic food and rooms. A 2h flight from Stockholm you take a walk from the airport and the skiing slopes. The hotel has total skiing charm with top quality. The food beats anything on a Michelin level with local touch, what about moose tartar, local salmon tacos. Great selection of wines. Friendly professional team providing super service. Cosy rooms!
