Very beautiful mansion and location. Especially in the Swedish summer. Absolutely amazing surroundings! Close to Täby Centrum and also Upplands Väsby. Easy to park on the free parking lot. Great service, except one lady (a waitress) during the dinner. I asked for waterglasses since they had set the table without any waterglasses, (which you don't, you always set the table with waterglasses). We also drank wine so then it's nice to have some water to it. She almost got offended by my question about a waterglas! She was grumpy but I got my waterglass finally. 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️ The building is very beautiful, a lot of cultural history! I really appreciated the Rituals soap and hand lotion in the bathrooms. That's a sign of high standard. Breakfast really good, very high quality. Lunch also pretty good. Afternoon fika was very good. A lot of home baked 🍰 and cookies. The dinner though was absolutely medioker. We got served rooster! That's not a good meat I can tell you. Very little meat and not tasty at all. So that was a mistake serving that. Felt cheap. I recently visited Såstaholm with my wife and another couple of good old friends to celebrate an even birthday by treating ourselves to seafood and overnight stay. And we were, all of us, thoroughly satisfied!|Starting with a creamy and delicious mussels soup, we were promptly served an impressive double-decker seafood platter (with sauces and bread), not only opulent in size and variety but also, as we pleasantly found, exquisite in quality! It was sheer delight to stuff up to the brim with oyster, lobster, crab, langoustine, and fresh and smoked prawns - despite sincere attempts sadly having to leave some (for the kitchen staff we hope!).|We were also most satisfied by the very full breakfast buffet offered in the morning, after a good night's sleep in the tranquil rural settings (slightly facilitated by a few post-dinner glasses in the bar?).|Not least, apart from the tangible experiences, we found all staff to be professional and friendly and most attentive, also to special requests to help us celebrate in style.|Well done you, we do...

We came to Såstaholm to let my 89 year old mother in law visit her brother living in Täby. We had a really good time there. The surroundings in beautiful nature was an extra plus. The hotell staff are all lovely and make you feel welcome. The theme with actors, both from before and from now gives the large place a quirky personal twist. Dinner in the restaurant was nice, breakfast was fantastic with everything you could ever want presented in a tempting way. Beds comfy, as the sheets and duvets, The bathroom slightly outdated. The only minus was that there were only to chargers for our electric car working and we could not charge our car the last night.
