Very friendly and service minded staff! Excellent to have the possibility of in-house car service, in particular as the hotel is located so out of the way of everything. The reception has a well-stocked selection of bathroom necessities for sale, and a good bar selection.

A bit surprising that the reception is not manned 24h, but very practical and ok work-around with a coded lock for late arrivers and night-owls.

Breakfast was not among the most impressive I've seen, but decent enough. Good selection of greens. Disappointing selection of bread and hot food. Cozy view from dining room towards the river, and very "family owned mountain lodge" cozy feel of the common areas of the reception.

The beds were more or less worn out (or intentionally bought with mattresses as soft as lambs wool? Either way - my back was not very happy after two nights).

Despite the current energy crisis,the room temperature was set at roasting (with no possibility of changing the settings). All the while the tiny bathroom was close to freezing, with the only apparent heat source being the towel rack. Some surprising electric set-up, where one of the switches by the door cuts all electricity in the room (including power outlets for phone charger). The led light of the TV illuminates the whole room in a blue hue, so bring a mask if you're light sensitive. The ventilation system was incredibly loud, I had to sleep with my noise cancelling headphones on - I would rather recommend bringing ear plugs of you are sound...

We arrived as a family on Christmas Eve after a long car journey and were received so warmly. Upon arrival, we were allowed to start immediately with a delicious Christmas Eve dinner and a fantastic dessert. The hotel was very nicely decorated in a Christmas atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and helpful and it really feels like a warm living room. As a family we felt so welcome (with our own regular table for the games) and every day our son could also join us for breakfast or dinner. The fresh food from the kitchen was a treat every day. A coffee machine with all kinds of delicious coffee and various types of tea, cookies, sweets and soft drinks are available all day long for your well-being as a guest. I ended up in this hotel amid a snowstorm, that too at 2230 in the evening, without giving a notice, with around 130 passengers of a train. Within one hour they served us with three-course dinner, took care of all the passengers and showed us what the word hospitality really means. For the next days, they served us with everything we needed.

The crews, specially Simon, was amazing. The food was fantastic, rooms were just as they should be, neat and clean.
