We had been travelling around Sweden and having a very hectic time for three weeks when we decided to escape to Saxnas to enjoy the northern wilderness. We came during the off season, so we were two of the hotel's only four guests. The owners, Anders and Ingela, were wonderfully accommodating, fun and friendly. Even though the restaurant was closed, we were allowed to join in on a fantastic dinner that a group of locals had arranged, and they were quick to offer advice on where to go and what to do in the area. But, it was nice enough for one night; convenient location for Vildmarksvägen and, after several nights of more remote camping, it was a nice opportunity for a cold beer from hotel bar.
