In short: Pizol is an overlooked super nice ski resort suitable for skiers from beginners to advanced levels, with even options to go powder skiing. Accessibility is excellent by car. To elaborate a bit, this is not a ski resort that shines for its sizes or the technicality of its slopes. You find a lot of blue and accessible red slopes. But it’s had a bit for everyone so will do great with groupes. By combining lifts you can do generously long slopes. Patches of powder are easily accessible. But most interesting is the accessibility from the valley. The first cable car sections are basically liaisons up from the parking at the bottom of the valley. You don’t have to go up the mountain with your car. Connection from the rail station is doable by bus but not as optimal as Flumserberg.

It started as an ad-hoc short trip, but quickly turned out to be one of the coolest places we have been to recently. You got amazing views, breathtaking mountain gorgeous valleys and some culinary options as well. (We had one of the best goulash soups ever) And you have tons of trails to explore. Probably the coolest one being the 5 Seen Wanderung, which is a medium difficulty hike touching 5 lovely little mountain lakes. 5 stars or even 10. Totally worth a visit, or two...or three 😊

Wonderful place for skiing. This skiing area originates in two different towns but it is connected on the very top. The restaurants are quite full during lunch time, but that's very typical in Swiss skiing areas. I especially like that there are multiple slopes to choose from on top of the mountain. This ensures that visitors are spread across those slopes, making it overall less crowded.

The infrastructure is solid and well kept, the routes are really good, with just two "but"s:

They are more difficult than your regular piste, theres one region of the "red" that I would definitely call black, with a very steep wall and the blues switch very often to "red" territory.

The routes are a bit counter intuitive and you have to explore the whole complex at least twice to understand which route starts and goes where

Overall highly recommend, but be aware that for beginner skiers it is better to stay on the training blue 1 and its T bone. Especially that you can buy a day pass only for that T bone and its a bit cheaper.

The staff is extremely friendly, the ski school is very good and you have something...
