The worst camping I have even been to. The owner was rude since the very begging, making us to wait for the check in. BUT the worst was yet to come...during the night we had a "pleasure" of having a tent next to the weird couple who was loud and noisy and fighting each other all night..also naked all the time...they tried to bully us literally hanging over the blanket we were sitting on with their naked tits and penises! Then the guy started to pee in front of us...and to fart too! IN the meantime the woman was giving us a speech about the culture..sic?! Anyway they were super drunk or high or sth but the best was the owner's reaction..someone called him cause of the noises. He came and yelled at us not even checking with our neighbours who disappeared in a second! When we tried to explain what has happened he didn't even listen to us and told us to stop making noises. We also told him about weird sexual behaviour of our neighbours and he totally ignored it! I felt we were sexually harassed by that couple and he couldn't care less! I would also like to add we were 3 young female students scared during the pitch dart night by some naked strangers and neglected by the lack of help of the owner. We were terrified and scared and we left the very first thing in the morning. No security and no help. I would never...
Read moreCamping de la Pichette was a very disappointing experience. The site was overcrowded, with no marked or assigned pitches, leading to a very disorganised and chaotic environment. It was noisy at night due to late-night parties, which made it difficult to rest, particularly for those traveling on foot or backpacking. While the price was reasonable, the facilities and pitches were subpar and poorly maintained, situated far from essential amenities. Charging extra for shower use was inconvenient and unreasonable. The location is problematic, with large piles of breakstone nearby causing dust in the air. The lakeside area is small and lacks adequate seating or recreational spaces. Additionally, the tent pitches were dusty and uneven. Overall, the campsite was unhygienic, poorly situated, and did not meet expectations. I would not recommend staying here.
In summary, Camping de la Pichette falls short in comfort, cleanliness, organisation, and location, making it unsuitable for a restful and...
Read moreThis is probably the best 'official' campsite I have ever visited. Really cool, chill vibe from the moment you enter, the owner/operator Gerard is a calm and friendly host. Pichet offers everything it's visitors could want, from electricity, to shower/ washing facilities, washing machine, etc. All the way to having a bar/ restaurant/ cafe on site. And the view....the view...the View!!! Located on the Swiss Riviera only 30 minutes walk from vevey train station and 25 minutes from St. Saphorin, this is one of the most beautiful places on Earth and you can camp literally within Yards of lac Leman. This is an absolute must visit for any one who is into camping, campervan or motor home style holidays. It's quite reasonably priced by any standard but by 'Swiss Economy'..... This place is extremely good value. I have visited twice and fully intend to...
