Al Torchino Charme is a great hotel very centrally located in Ascona. the hotel was modern and well equipped. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The hotel overall is a great value for money and I would put 5 stars if the breakfast was better. Breakfast could bring improved very mediocre and the area should be more protected from insects (e.g. flies) Property doesn’t have a parking but you can park shortly for checkin and check out. Customer service at its best and finest. After having finalised our booking we received a phone call to our Australian mobile sharing suggestions re parking, check in time and assistance required. Quick, friendly efficient check in and recommendation for dinner: Osteria Nostrana 10 out of 10. Das Hotel Ist zentral, super sauber, neu renoviert. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend- meistens (s.u.) Zwei Aspekte sind allerdings “no go’s” Beim Frühstück gingen bei uns um 08:30 Brot, Butter und andere essentielle Frühstücksbestandteile aus. Das Personal war überfordert und reagierte initial gar nicht. Die Entschuldigung es wären unerwartet viele Gäste da gewesen ist nicht aufrecht zu halten. Zum einen weiß man spätestens am Vorabend wie viele Gäste im Haus weilen und zweitens war das gleiche Fiasko gemäß unseren Tischnachbaren schon am Vortag zu beklagen. Der zweite Punkt ist die Anfahrt. Kommt man mit dem Auto schickt einen der Navi verkehrt herum in eine Einbahnstraße. Die Lösung bekommt der frustrierte Autombobilist am Telefon von der Rezeption zu hören. Das Problem muss via Google gelöst werden. Aus eigener Erfahrung weiß ich wie schwierig so etwas ist, aber da muss die Hotelleitung etwas Kreativität aufbringen Zu guter letzt, wenn sich Kunden zu Recht oder zu Unrecht beklagen, ist die Antwort der Leitung darauf entscheidend ob der Kunde wiederkommt oder nicht.
