Be very aware of what you will experience. This is more hostel than hotel given the horrible service. I was booked for four nights, starting tonight. I could not get the self check-in to work. I called, since they're "always available to help." Of course the immediate response was that it was a problem with my card. I disagreed as I knew that it was NOT a problem with my card. The young man could not manage to suggest a different possibility, thought arguing with me was completely appropriate, refused to get someone who could help me and continued to INSIST it was my card. Guess what? My CC company confirmed THEY could see that this place charged and reversed the charge. I, of course, asked the young man to cancel my reservation as I couldn't get access to a room and was receiving no help. He kept saying it was a problem with my card, talking over me, refusing help, etc. So, now I'll get to watch my card to make sure it is NOT charged, I get to find last minute stays after 24+ hours of travel, and never will I set foot in the town again. So, congratulations, employee at Emma's, your behavior has created a truly negative experience at the beginning of what should have been a great time in and around the area... you know, spending money and helping the local economy.

I absolutely do not recommend this hotel. It is, by far, the worst hotel experience I have had in Switzerland. Upon checking in, I pulled back the covers to find the bed sheets were visibly dirty with orange stains. Since my mobile phone only had data and couldn't make calls, I was unable to reach any staff member. I tried using the hallway phone to contact the reception for help, only to be rudely hung up on and told to use my own mobile phone to call them. There was no staff member visible anywhere in the hotel to assist me. I have traveled to over 25 Swiss towns and stayed in more than 20 different hotels across the country; this experience was the most appalling. The standards at this establishment are so poor that they genuinely insult the excellent reputation of the Swiss hotel industry as a whole. Stay elsewhere.

Cosy hotel in Lungern. The hotel is right in front of Lungern Bahnof. The self check-in allows seamless entry to the hotel. It is a new building which is well decorated. The rooms are spacious with a balcony. One can slso goto the roof terrace for sunbatheing or sinply enjoying the views. The served breakfast is wholesome and staff is helpful. There is a little playground for kids also. However please note post 9:30 PM you need to be quiet as the village folk may get agitated!

Terrible place. After making a booking small booking error (paying for a double room; but selected one guest by accident) I was met in the breakfast diner by a staff member named Ruth who demanded an extra 165 chf for 3 nights despite (almost half of what my booking already cost on top) as I booked through Expedia i wanted to double check with them first before making the payment. The lady demanded the extra money and forcefully stated we could not leave until the payment was made. I felt pressured and forced to pay this extra charge. Our bedding was not clean and we did not have clean towels, or our room cleaned since arrival. After paying the extra charge, I requested a receipt of the full extra charge breakdown (as recommended to me by Expedia), they failed to provide this despite requesting this 5-6 times in person, over the phone and email- to date I still have not received this. We were however told the charge included a maintenance which we accepted; albeit throughout our stay we had missing bottom sheets and the room was not cleaned once. Further to this, they advertise an an all you can eat buffet… whilst eating Ruth again interrupted us and questioned what we were eating despite only have one croissant and a boiled egg each on our plate and saying we couldn’t take extra for lunch. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, the location is in the middle of no where with nothing around, the staff who work in the hotel in the morning are rude and waste you time entirely. There is no sense of customer service and Iastly the extra charge I was forced to pay was double than what Expedia said I should pay- and the amount I paid was the same cost as two guest on their online website- however they justified their pricing by stating dynamic pricing as I was changing it on the day- even though our room wasn’t being upgraded/ changed. Since writing my review they have further displayed their unprofessionalism by contacting me directly over email to give me further abuse. Do not waste your money and give it to these greedy, rude...

The price of this hotel includes breakfast every day, so we had breakfast in the hotel restaurant three consecutive mornings. On the first day, the restaurant staff told us that we could just sit at a table for two outside, so we took a random seat. When he was giving us coffee, he noticed that there were no cutlery or paper towels when we were sitting at the table. He was very impatient and dissatisfied. He was dissatisfied that we did not sit on this table because the table next to it had cutlery. Then I immediately said why don't we sit next to each other and you don't need to bring the tableware over. He still said no need in a dissatisfied tone. Then on the last morning, when there were customers at three tables, he suddenly told me that this toast belongs to you and was placed next to the toast table but you didn't take it. I said it was not ours. He told me for sure that you are the only ones here and the rest of them say it's not theirs. I thought to myself why they said it wasn't them, then it must be the toast we baked? It’s really unreasonable. Is this discrimination against Chinese people? My husband and I once stood beside the toast road and asked if we wanted to eat toast? We finally decided against it as we were too full. Can I confirm that it's the toast we just baked just by looking at you? So he put toast on our counter without saying anything. This behavior is very bad. I hope everyone will not stay in this hotel. The service staff's attitude...

Schweinerei so etwas.
